Thank you for purchasing the Nedis Vintage Retro Classic Portable Radio. This manual provides important information regarding the safe and efficient operation of your device. Please read it thoroughly before use and retain it for future reference.
This portable radio allows you to enjoy AM or FM radio stations and offers Bluetooth connectivity for wireless audio streaming from your personal devices. It also features an auxiliary input for wired connections and a headphone output for private listening.

Setup
1. Power Source Connection
The radio can be powered by either AC mains electricity or 4 AA batteries.
- AC Power: Connect the supplied EU or UK power cable to the AC input socket on the rear of the radio (refer to Figure 4) and then plug it into a wall outlet.
- Battery Power: Open the battery compartment cover on the rear of the radio (refer to Figure 4). Insert 4 AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-). Close the cover securely.
2. Antenna Adjustment
For optimal FM reception, fully extend the telescopic antenna located on the rear of the radio. For AM reception, the internal antenna is generally sufficient, but you may need to rotate the radio for better signal.
Operating Instructions
1. Powering On/Off and Volume Control
Rotate the VOLUME/OFF knob (refer to Figure 2) clockwise to turn the radio ON and increase the volume. Rotate it counter-clockwise to decrease the volume and turn the radio OFF.
2. Selecting Mode (FM/AUX/AM)
Use the FM - AUX - AM slide switch (refer to Figure 2) to select your desired operating mode:
- FM: For FM radio broadcasts.
- AUX: For connecting external audio devices via the 3.5mm AUX input.
- AM: For AM radio broadcasts.
3. Tuning Radio Stations (FM/AM)
Once in FM or AM mode, rotate the large TUNING knob on the front panel (refer to Figure 1) to scan for radio stations. The frequency will be indicated on the tuning dial.
4. Tone Control
Adjust the TONE knob (refer to Figure 2) to modify the audio output's treble and bass balance to your preference.
5. Bluetooth Connectivity
To connect a Bluetooth-enabled device:
- Switch the mode selector to AUX. The radio will automatically enter Bluetooth pairing mode.
- Enable Bluetooth on your smartphone, tablet, or other audio device.
- Search for available devices and select "Nedis Radio" (or similar) from the list.
- Once paired, you can stream audio wirelessly to the radio from your device. The effective range is up to 10 meters.
6. AUX Input
To play audio from a non-Bluetooth device:
- Switch the mode selector to AUX.
- Connect a 3.5mm audio cable (not supplied) from your external device's headphone or line-out jack to the AUX IN port on the side of the radio (refer to Figure 3).
- Play audio from your external device.
7. Headphone Output
For private listening, connect a pair of headphones (not supplied) to the 3.5mm headphone jack (usually located near the AUX IN port, refer to Figure 3). The internal speaker will be muted when headphones are connected.
Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the radio with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Battery Replacement: If using battery power, replace all 4 AA batteries when the sound becomes distorted or the radio fails to power on. Ensure correct polarity.
- Storage: If storing the radio for an extended period, remove the batteries to prevent leakage.
Troubleshooting
