Setup and Initial Use

Follow these steps to set up your Skullcandy Riff Wireless headphones and connect them to your device.

Pairing a New Device

1. Ensure the headphones are powered off.
2. Press and hold the power button for 5 seconds. The LED indicator will flash red and blue, indicating pairing mode.
3. On your device (e.g., smartphone, tablet), navigate to the Bluetooth settings.
4. Locate "Riff Wireless" in the list of available devices and select it to connect.
5. Once connected, the LED will flash blue, and a voice prompt will confirm "Connected".

Power On/Off

• Power On: Press and hold the power button for 3 seconds. The LED will flash purple. If disconnected, the LED will rapidly blink red twice. If connected, the LED will blink blue once.
• Power Off: Press and hold the power button for 3 seconds. The LED will flash purple before turning off.

Operating Your Headphones

The Riff Wireless headphones feature user-friendly buttons for easy control of your audio and calls.

Audio Controls

• Volume Up: Tap the "+" button.
• Volume Down: Tap the "-" button.
• Track Forward: Press and hold the "+" button.
• Track Backward: Press and hold the "-" button.
• Play/Pause: Tap the main function button (center button).

Call Management

• Answer/End Call: Click the main function button.
• Reject or Hold Call: Press and hold the main function button for 2 seconds.

Charging Your Headphones

To charge your Riff Wireless headphones, use the provided micro USB cord. Plug the micro USB end into the headphone's charging port and the USB-A end into a computer's USB port or a wall charger.

• The LED indicator will show red while charging.
• The light will go out once the headphones are fully charged.
• A quick 10-minute charge provides 2 hours of listening time, with a full charge offering up to 12 hours of battery life.

Pairing Issues

If your headphones are not appearing in your device's Bluetooth list or are having trouble connecting:

• Clear Paired Device List: While the headphones are charging, press and hold the main function button. The LED will blink blue and red. Upon powering on, the headphones will directly enter pairing state, allowing you to re-pair with your desired device.
• Restart Devices: Turn off Bluetooth on your phone/device, power off the headphones, then restart both and attempt to pair again.
• Charge Fully: Ensure the headphones are fully charged before attempting to pair, as low battery can sometimes affect connectivity.

Sound Quality Issues

• Check Volume: Ensure both the headphone volume and your device's volume are turned up.
• Proximity: Maintain a close distance between your headphones and the connected device (within 10 meters) to avoid signal interference.
