Operating Your Realforce R2 Keyboard
1. Topre Electrostatic Capacitive Switches
Your Realforce R2 keyboard utilizes Topre electrostatic capacitive switches, known for their unique tactile feel and quiet operation. These switches are rated for 50 million key presses, ensuring long-term durability and consistent performance.

2. Actuation Point Changer (APC)
The Actuation Point Changer (APC) feature allows you to customize the key actuation point for individual keys. This can be adjusted to 1.5mm, 2.2mm, or 3mm using the downloadable software.
- 1.5mm: Ideal for gaming or applications requiring rapid key presses. Provides up to 25% faster response compared to standard mechanical keyboards.
- 2.2mm: Standard actuation point, suitable for general typing.
- 3mm: Provides a deeper press, enhancing typing accuracy and reducing accidental key presses.
To change the actuation points, download the dedicated software from the official Realforce website. The software is compatible with Windows 10, 8.1, 8, and 7.

3. Full N-Key Rollover (NKRO)
The Realforce R2 supports Full N-Key Rollover (NKRO), meaning every key press is registered accurately, regardless of how many keys are pressed simultaneously. This prevents "ghosting" and ensures precision, even during fast typing or complex gaming sequences.
4. Keycap Material and Legends
The keyboard features highly durable PBT (Polybutylene Terephthalate) keycaps. The legends are dyed into the keycaps, ensuring they remain visible and do not fade even after extensive use.
5. Cable Management
The keyboard is designed with three-way cable management channels on the underside, allowing you to route the USB cable neatly to the left, right, or center, keeping your desk organized.
Maintenance and Care
To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your Realforce R2 keyboard, follow these maintenance guidelines:
- Cleaning the Keyboard: Use a soft, lint-free cloth slightly dampened with water or a mild cleaning solution to wipe down the keycaps and chassis. Avoid spraying liquids directly onto the keyboard.
- Removing Dust and Debris: Use compressed air to remove dust and debris from between the keycaps. For deeper cleaning, keycaps can be carefully removed using a keycap puller (not included).
- Avoid Extreme Conditions: Do not expose the keyboard to extreme temperatures, humidity, or direct sunlight.
- Cable Care: Avoid sharp bends or kinks in the USB cable to prevent internal damage.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your Realforce R2 keyboard, please refer to the following common solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
