1. Introduction

The Boogie Board Blackboard is a 5.5" x 7.25" reusable smart notebook designed for versatile note-taking in various environments, from home to office. Its semi-transparent surface allows users to write on different templates or mark up documents. This device offers a paper-like writing experience with the convenience of digital saving and sharing.

2. What's in the Box

Upon unboxing your Boogie Board Blackboard, please ensure all the following components are present:

• Blackboard Stylus with an eraser

3. Setup

The Boogie Board Blackboard is designed for immediate use with minimal setup. Simply remove the device and stylus from its packaging.

Inserting Templates

To utilize the various templates, slide your desired template into the designated slot behind the writing surface. The semi-transparent screen will overlay your writing onto the template.

4. Operating Instructions

The Boogie Board Blackboard offers intuitive controls for writing, erasing, and managing your notes.

Writing

Use the included stylus to write directly on the Blackboard's surface. The pressure-sensitive screen will display your notes in a clear, green line.

Erasing Notes

The Blackboard features two primary erasing methods:

• QuickClear™ Technology (Full Erase): Press the circular button at the top center of the device to instantly clear the entire screen.
• Exact-Erase™ (Partial Erase): Use the eraser tip on the stylus to selectively erase specific parts of your notes. Hold down the small button on the stylus while applying the eraser tip to the screen. This allows for precise edits without clearing the entire display.

Lock Function

To prevent accidental erasure of your notes, slide the lock switch located on the top right of the device. This will disable the QuickClear™ button until unlocked.

Using Interchangeable Templates

The Blackboard comes with four easy-to-swap templates (lined, grid, dotted, and blank) that slide in behind the writing surface. Choose the template that best suits your note-taking or drawing needs.

App Integration (Smart Scan)

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your Boogie Board Blackboard, follow these maintenance guidelines:

• Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the writing surface. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
• Stylus Care: Keep the stylus clean and free from debris. Store it in the magnetic holder when not in use.
• Battery: The device requires 1 CR2 battery. Replace the battery when the erase function becomes less effective.
• Storage: Store the Blackboard in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues with your Boogie Board Blackboard, please refer to the following common solutions:

• Screen not clearing: Ensure the lock switch is in the unlocked position before pressing the QuickClear button. If the issue persists, the battery may need replacement.

• Partial erase not working: Confirm you are holding down the small button on the stylus while using the eraser tip.
