2. Safety Instructions

4. Setup

4.1 Unpacking

Carefully remove the appliance from its packaging. Retain the packaging for future transport or storage.

4.2 Initial Use and First Brew

  1. Place the machine on a stable, level surface.
  2. Fill the water tank with fresh, cold water.
  3. Fill the bean hopper with fresh coffee beans.
  4. Plug the appliance into a grounded power outlet.
  5. Turn on the machine. It will perform an automatic rinsing cycle.
  6. Place a cup under the coffee dispenser.
  7. Select your desired coffee type (e.g., espresso or lungo) from the touch panel.
  8. The machine will grind the beans and brew your coffee.

5. Operating

5.1 Making Espresso

To brew an espresso, ensure the water tank is filled and the bean hopper contains coffee beans. Place a cup under the dispenser and press the espresso icon on the touch panel. The machine will automatically grind, brew, and dispense your coffee.

5.2 Adjusting Grind Level

The machine offers 5 levels of grinding. To adjust, locate the grind adjustment knob inside the bean hopper. Turn the knob while the grinder is operating (e.g., during a brew cycle) to select a finer or coarser grind. A finer grind results in stronger coffee, while a coarser grind yields a milder taste.

5.3 Customizing Coffee Volume

You can program the desired volume for your coffee. During a brew cycle, press and hold the desired coffee icon until the desired volume is reached. Release the button, and the machine will save this setting for future use.

5.4 Hot Water Function

To dispense hot water, place a cup under the dispenser and press the hot water icon on the control panel. Press again to stop the flow.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your espresso machine.

6.1 Daily Cleaning

  • Wipe the exterior of the machine with a soft, damp cloth.
  • Clean the coffee dispenser spout.
  • Empty and rinse the drip tray and coffee grounds container daily.

6.2 Emptying the Grounds Container and Drip Tray

The machine will indicate when the grounds container needs to be emptied. Remove the drip tray and grounds container, discard the coffee pucks, and rinse both components with warm water. Dry thoroughly before reinserting.

6.3 Cleaning the Brew Unit

The brew unit should be cleaned weekly. Turn off and unplug the machine. Open the service door, remove the brew unit, and rinse it under running water. Allow it to air dry completely before reinserting.

6.4 Descaling

The machine will prompt you when descaling is required. Use a suitable descaling solution designed for coffee machines. Follow the instructions provided with the descaling agent and the machine's display prompts for the descaling process.

7. Troubleshooting

Refer to the table below for common issues and their solutions.
