Safety Precautions

• This product is not suitable for children under 8 years old without adult supervision.
• Always operate the RC truck in open areas, away from people, pets, vehicles, and obstacles.
• Do not operate the truck in public streets or near water bodies unless specifically designed for aquatic use (this model has IPX4 splash resistance, but is not submersible).
• Ensure all batteries are correctly installed and charged according to instructions.
• Never attempt to modify the truck or its components, as this may cause damage or injury.
• Turn off the truck and remote controller when not in use to conserve battery life and prevent accidental operation.

Setup

1. Charging the Truck Battery

Before first use, fully charge the truck's Lithium-Ion battery. Connect the battery to the provided USB charging cable, then plug the USB cable into a suitable USB power source (e.g., computer USB port, USB wall adapter). The charging indicator light will show the charging status (refer to charger instructions for specific light behavior). Charging typically takes 2-3 hours.

2. Installing the Truck Battery

1. Locate the battery compartment on the underside of the truck.
2. Open the battery compartment cover.
3. Carefully insert the charged Lithium-Ion battery into the compartment.
4. Connect the battery connector to the truck's power connector, ensuring correct polarity.
5. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

3. Installing Remote Controller Batteries

The remote controller requires 2 AA batteries (not included).

1. Locate the battery cover on the back of the remote controller.
2. Slide open the battery cover.
3. Insert 2 AA batteries, observing the correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment.
4. Close the battery cover securely.

4. Pairing the Remote Controller

To establish a connection between the remote controller and the truck:

1. Ensure the truck battery is installed and fully charged.
2. Turn on the truck's power switch. The truck's indicator light will flash.
3. Turn on the remote controller's power switch. The remote's indicator light will flash.
4. Wait a few seconds for the remote and truck to automatically pair. Once paired, both indicator lights will become solid.
5. If pairing fails, turn off both devices and repeat the steps.

Operating Instructions

1. Basic Controls

Refer to Figure 1 for the remote controller layout.

• Throttle Trigger: Pull the trigger to move forward. Push the trigger to brake, then push again for reverse.
• Steering Wheel: Turn the wheel left to steer the truck left, and turn right to steer the truck right.
• Steering Trim: Adjust this dial if the truck does not drive straight when the steering wheel is centered.
• Throttle Trim: Adjust this dial to fine-tune the neutral position of the throttle.

2. Driving Tips

The Hosim G172 is a high-speed 4WD vehicle capable of handling various terrains.

• Start by practicing in an open, flat area to get accustomed to the controls.
• Avoid driving into solid objects at high speeds to prevent damage.
• The truck features IPX4 waterproof level, protecting it from splashing water and waves. However, it is not designed for submersion. Avoid deep puddles or prolonged exposure to heavy rain.

Maintenance

1. Cleaning

• After each use, especially in dusty or muddy conditions, clean the truck to remove dirt and debris.
• Use a soft brush or compressed air to remove dirt from the chassis, wheels, and suspension components.
• Wipe the body with a damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or solvents.

2. Battery Care

• Always disconnect the battery from the truck when not in use.
• Store batteries in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
• Do not overcharge or over-discharge the battery. Follow charging instructions carefully.
