4. Setup

4.1 Battery Installation

1. Open the battery compartment cover located on the side of the flash unit.
2. Insert four (4) AA batteries (alkaline or Ni-MH are usable) according to the polarity indicators inside the compartment.
3. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

4.2 Mounting on Camera

1. Ensure both the flash and camera are powered off.
2. Slide the flash's hot shoe into the camera's hot shoe mount until it clicks into place.
3. Tighten the locking ring or lever on the flash unit to secure it to the camera.

4.3 Powering On/Off

• To power on, press and hold the ON/OFF button until the LCD screen illuminates.
• To power off, press and hold the ON/OFF button again until the LCD screen turns off.

5. Operating Modes

5.1 TTL Mode

In TTL (Through-The-Lens) mode, the flash automatically adjusts its output based on the camera's metering system to achieve optimal exposure. This mode is ideal for quick and accurate lighting in various situations.

• Press the MODE button until "TTL" appears on the LCD.
