4.1 Controls and Display

  • LED Display: Shows time, alarm status, and radio frequency.
  • Time Set Button: Used to set the current time.
  • Alarm 1/2 Set Buttons: Used to set Alarm 1 and Alarm 2 times.
  • Snooze/Dimmer Button: Activates snooze during an alarm; adjusts display brightness.

5. Setup

5.1 Power Connection

  1. Connect the provided power supply adapter to the DC IN jack on the back of the unit.
  2. Plug the adapter into a standard AC 230V 50/60Hz wall outlet.
  3. The LED display will light up, indicating the unit is powered.

5.2 Battery Backup (Not Included)

The unit requires 2 x 1.5V AAA/R03/UM4 batteries (not included) for backup power. These batteries maintain time and alarm settings during a power outage. They do not power the display or alarm functions during an outage.

  1. Open the battery compartment cover on the bottom of the unit.
  2. Insert 2 AAA batteries, observing the correct polarity (+ and -).
  3. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

5.3 Setting the Time

  1. Press and hold the TIME SET button. The hour digits will flash.
  2. While the hour digits are flashing, press the HOUR button repeatedly to set the correct hour.
  3. Press the TIME SET button again. The minute digits will flash.
  4. While the minute digits are flashing, press the MINUTE button repeatedly to set the correct minutes.
  5. Press the TIME SET button once more to confirm and exit time setting mode.

6. Operation

6.1 Radio Operation

  1. Press the RADIO ON/OFF/FUNCTION button to turn on the radio.
  2. Press the RADIO ON/OFF/FUNCTION button repeatedly to select between FM and MW bands.
  3. Rotate the TUNING knob to find your desired radio station.
  4. Adjust the volume using the VOLUME knob.
  5. To turn off the radio, press the RADIO ON/OFF/FUNCTION button until the radio is off.

6.2 Setting Alarms (Alarm 1 and Alarm 2)

The M-18 CRB features two independent alarms.

  1. Press and hold the ALARM 1 SET button. The alarm hour digits will flash.
  2. Press the HOUR button repeatedly to set the desired alarm hour.
  3. Press the ALARM 1 SET button again. The alarm minute digits will flash.
  4. Press the MINUTE button repeatedly to set the desired alarm minutes.
  5. Press the ALARM 1 SET button once more to confirm. The alarm indicator (e.g., AL1) will appear on the display.
  6. To select the alarm source (Buzzer or Radio), press the ALARM 1 SET button repeatedly after setting the time until the desired source is indicated.
  7. Repeat the process for ALARM 2 SET if a second alarm is desired.
  8. To deactivate an alarm, press the corresponding ALARM SET button until its indicator disappears from the display.

6.3 Snooze Function

When an alarm sounds, press the SNOOZE/DIMMER button to temporarily silence the alarm. The alarm will sound again after approximately 9 minutes.

6.4 Sleep Function

The sleep function allows the radio to play for a set duration before automatically turning off.

  1. While the radio is playing, press the SLEEP button repeatedly to cycle through available sleep times (e.g., 90, 60, 30, 15 minutes, OFF).
  2. The radio will automatically turn off after the selected duration.

6.5 Display Dimmer

To adjust the brightness of the LED display:

  • Press the SNOOZE/DIMMER button (when no alarm is sounding) to cycle through the three brightness levels (High, Medium, Low) or to turn the display off.

6.6 AUX Input

Connect an external audio device (e.g., smartphone, MP3 player) to the AUX IN jack on the back of the unit using a 3.5mm audio cable (not included).

  1. Press the RADIO ON/OFF/FUNCTION button repeatedly until "AUX" is displayed or selected.
  2. Start playback on your external device.
  3. Adjust the volume using the VOLUME knob on the M-18 CRB and/or your external device.

7. Maintenance

7.1 Cleaning

  • Always unplug the unit from the power outlet before cleaning.
  • Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior surfaces.
  • Do not use abrasive cleaners, waxes, or solvents as they may damage the finish.

7.2 Battery Replacement

Replace the backup batteries annually or if the time/alarm settings are lost during a power interruption. Refer to section 5.2 for battery installation instructions.

8. Troubleshooting
