Setup
- Prepare Micro SD Card: A Micro SD card (32GB-64GB recommended) is required for recording. Format the card to FAT32 on a computer if it's 64GB, as Windows may default to exFAT. The device will prompt for a second format upon insertion.
- Mounting the Dash Cam:
- Clean the windshield surface where the dash cam will be mounted.
- Attach the 3M adhesive mount to the dash cam.
- Securely press the dash cam with the adhesive mount onto the chosen spot on your windshield, ensuring a clear view of the road. The static cling feature allows for easy repositioning if needed, but ensure the surface is clean and dust-free for optimal adhesion.
- Power Connection:
- Connect the included car charger to the USB Power Port on the dash cam.
- Plug the car charger into your vehicle's cigarette lighter socket.
- The dash cam will automatically power on and begin recording when the vehicle starts, and power off when the vehicle is turned off (after a few minutes of additional footage).

Operating
The AKASO V300 Dash Cam offers several features to enhance your driving safety and recording experience.

- Super Night Vision: Enhanced low-light performance ensures clear recordings even in challenging night conditions.
- G-Sensor: Automatically detects sudden movements or impacts and locks the current video file to prevent it from being overwritten.

- Parking Monitor: When enabled, the dash cam will automatically record if it detects a collision while your vehicle is parked.
- Loop Recording: Continuously records video. When the storage card is full, the oldest unlocked files are automatically overwritten by new recordings.

- Wide Dynamic Range (WDR): Improves image quality in high-contrast lighting conditions, balancing bright and dark areas.

Maintenance
- Mount Cleaning: If the dash cam mount loses adhesion, clean the surface of the static cling thoroughly to remove any dust or debris.
- Operating Temperature: The dash cam is designed to operate within a temperature range of -4°F (-20°C) to 158°F (70°C). Avoid prolonged exposure to temperatures outside this range to prevent damage.

Troubleshooting
- SD Card Formatting Issues: If using a 64GB Micro SD card, Windows may format it to exFAT, which is not compatible with the dash cam. Use a utility to format the card to FAT32 before inserting it into the device. The dash cam will then prompt for a second format.
- Unreliable Recording: Ensure the Micro SD card is properly inserted and formatted. Check for any error messages on the screen. If issues persist, try a different compatible Micro SD card.
- Screen Bubbles: Some users have reported bubbles on the screen after peeling off the protective layer. While this may not affect functionality, it can be a cosmetic issue.
- Incorrect Time Display: If the time displayed on recordings is incorrect, adjust the time settings in the dash cam's menu. Refer to the on-screen menu for navigation.
