5. Setup and Installation
Follow these steps to assemble your PC components within the AeroCool Playa case.
5.1. Preparing the Case
- Place the case on a flat, stable surface.
- Remove the side panels by unscrewing the thumbscrews at the rear of the case and sliding the panels backward.

5.2. Motherboard Installation
- Install the I/O shield into the rear opening of the case.
- Align your Micro-ATX motherboard with the standoffs inside the case. Ensure the standoffs match the screw holes on your motherboard.
- Secure the motherboard using the provided mounting screws.
5.3. Power Supply Unit (PSU) Installation
The AeroCool Playa case supports SFX or Micro ATX power supplies, mounted at the bottom.
- Position the PSU in the designated bottom mounting area.
- Secure the PSU to the case using the appropriate screws from the accessory kit.
- Route the PSU cables through the available cutouts for cable management.
5.4. Storage Drive Installation
The case provides bays for 2.5" and 3.5" drives.
- 2.5" Drives (SSDs): Locate the 2.5" drive mounting points, typically behind the motherboard tray or on dedicated brackets. Secure the SSDs using the provided screws.
- 3.5" Drives (HDDs): The case may utilize the optical drive slot for a 3.5" HDD. If installing a 3.5" drive, follow the specific instructions for its mounting location.
5.5. Expansion Card Installation
- Remove the necessary expansion slot covers from the rear of the case.
- Insert your expansion card (e.g., graphics card) into the appropriate PCIe slot on the motherboard.

5.6. Fan Installation
The case includes one 80mm fan pre-installed at the top. Additional 80mm fans can be installed if desired.
- Identify available fan mounting points (e.g., bottom, rear).
- Secure the fans using the provided fan screws.
- Connect the fan power cables to your motherboard or power supply.
5.7. Front Panel Connections

6. Operating Instructions
6.1. Powering On
- Ensure all internal components are securely installed and all cables are properly connected.
- Connect the power cable to the PSU and a wall outlet.
- Press the power button located on the front panel of the case.
6.2. RGB Lighting Control
The AeroCool Playa case features an integrated RGB lighting strip on the front panel with 13 selectable modes.
- Locate the dedicated RGB control button on the front panel.
- Press the button repeatedly to cycle through the 13 different lighting effects and colors.
- Hold the button for a few seconds to turn the RGB lighting off or on.
