axion Mixed Electrodes User Manual

Model: 20246

Introduction

This manual provides essential information for the safe and effective use of axion mixed electrodes. These high-quality, self-adhesive electrodes are designed for various electrostimulation applications, including pain relief (TENS), muscle stimulation (EMS), and well-being massages. Please read this manual thoroughly before first use.

Safety Information

Always consult a healthcare professional before starting any electrostimulation therapy. Do not use electrodes on broken or irritated skin. Avoid placing electrodes over the heart, on the head, or on the carotid sinus nerves in the neck. Keep out of reach of children. If you experience any discomfort or adverse reactions, discontinue use immediately and consult a doctor.

Product Overview

The axion mixed electrode set includes 12 original axion electrodes with 3.5mm snap connectors, suitable for various applications:

  • 4 pads 45x45 mm: Square electrodes, versatile for many body areas.
  • 4 patches 100x50 mm: Larger rectangular electrodes, ideal for broader muscle groups or back areas.
  • 4 electrodes Ø 32 mm: Small round electrodes, suitable for precise application on smaller areas or joints.

Compatibility

These electrodes are designed for use with digital devices featuring 3.5mm snap connectors. They are compatible with a wide range of neurostimulators, including:

  • BEURER: EM40, EM41, EM41.1, EM49, EM80
  • SANITAS: SEM40, SEM41, SEM42, SEM43
  • Other brands: HYDAS, BLUETENS

Important Note: These electrodes are NOT COMPATIBLE with COMPEX devices.

Setup and Application

  1. Prepare the Skin: Ensure the skin where electrodes will be applied is clean, dry, and free of oils, lotions, or hair. This maximizes adhesion and conductivity.
  2. Remove Protective Film: Carefully peel the electrode from its protective film. Avoid touching the adhesive gel surface with your fingers to maintain its stickiness.
  3. Connect to Device: Attach the snap connector of the electrode to the corresponding cable from your electrostimulator device.
  4. Apply Electrodes: Place the electrodes firmly onto the desired skin area. Ensure full contact for optimal signal transmission. Refer to your electrostimulator's manual for specific placement recommendations for different therapies (e.g., pain relief, muscle training).

Operating Instructions

Once the electrodes are correctly applied and connected to your electrostimulator, operate the device according to its specific user manual. The axion electrodes are designed to distribute impulses homogeneously for effective therapy.

Applications:

  • Pain Relief (TENS): Effective for various types of pain, including back pain, cervical pain, sciatica, and heel spurs.
  • Muscle Training (EMS): Targeted and joint-friendly muscle training to achieve sports objectives.
  • Well-being Massages: Electrostimulation for relaxed muscles and general well-being.

Maintenance and Storage

To maximize the lifespan and reusability of your axion electrodes (up to 40 times), follow these maintenance guidelines:

  • After Use: Gently peel the electrodes off the skin. Do not pull on the cable.
  • Re-apply Protective Film: Immediately place the electrodes back onto their original protective film. This prevents the adhesive gel from drying out and collecting dust.
  • Storage: Store the electrodes in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Keep them in their original packaging or an airtight bag.
  • Cleaning: If the adhesive surface becomes less sticky due to dust or lint, gently dab it with a damp, lint-free cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.

Troubleshooting

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
Electrodes not sticking wellSkin is oily/dirty, electrodes are dry/dirty, or electrodes are worn out.Clean and dry skin thoroughly. Gently clean electrode adhesive with a damp cloth. Replace electrodes if they are old or heavily used.
Weak or uneven impulsesPoor electrode contact, damaged cable, or low battery in stimulator.Ensure electrodes are fully adhered. Check cable for damage. Replace stimulator batteries.
Skin irritationAllergic reaction, prolonged use, or improper skin preparation.Discontinue use. Consult a doctor. Ensure skin is clean before application. Reduce session duration.
