3. Product Overview
The SYMA X56W is a foldable quadcopter designed for ease of use and stable flight. It features a compact design, making it portable for various outdoor activities.

4. Setup
4.1 Drone Assembly
- Unfold the Drone: Press the button at the bottom of the fuselage and carefully unfold the rotor arms until they lock into place.
- Install Protective Guards: Insert the protective guards into the corresponding slots on each motor arm.
- Install Blades (Propellers): Ensure correct blade installation by matching the marks on the blades to the corresponding marks on the drone. There are two types of blades (A and B); install them on the correct motor.
- Install Camera: Securely attach the camera to the designated slot on the drone's underside.
4.2 Battery Installation (Drone)
Insert the fully charged drone battery into the battery compartment on the drone's body. Ensure it is securely connected and the compartment cover is closed.
4.3 Remote Control Battery Installation
Open the battery compartment on the back of the remote control. Insert four self-purchased AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity. Close the battery compartment.
4.4 Mobile Phone Holder Installation
Attach the mobile phone holder to the top of the remote control. Adjust it to securely hold your smartphone.
4.5 App Download and Connection
- Scan the QR code provided in the manual or on the packaging to download the SYMA FPV application.
- Turn on the drone.
- On your smartphone, go to Wi-Fi settings and connect to the drone's Wi-Fi network (usually named 'SYMA-X56W-XXXX').
- Open the SYMA FPV application. You should see the live video feed from the drone's camera.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Power On/Off and Pairing
- Turn on the drone. The indicator lights will flash.
- Turn on the remote control.
- Push the left joystick (throttle) all the way up, then all the way down. The drone's indicator lights will become solid, indicating successful pairing.
- To power off, turn off the remote control first, then the drone.
5.2 Basic Flight Controls
- Ascend/Descend: Push the left joystick (throttle) up to ascend, down to descend.
- Forward/Backward: Push the right joystick up to fly forward, down to fly backward.
- Left/Right Sideward Flight: Push the right joystick left to fly left, right to fly right.
- Turn Left/Right: Push the left joystick (throttle) left to rotate left, right to rotate right.
5.3 One-Key Take-off/Landing
After pairing, press the One-Key Take-off/Landing button on the remote control. The drone will automatically take off and hover at a certain altitude, or land gently.
5.4 Altitude Hold Mode
The drone automatically maintains its current altitude when the left joystick (throttle) is released, providing stable hovering for easier control.
5.5 Headless Mode
Long press the Headless Mode button. The drone will enter Headless Mode, meaning its orientation will be relative to the pilot, regardless of the drone's actual front. Long press again to exit.
5.6 Speed Switching
Short press the High/Low Speed button to cycle through different flight speeds (e.g., low, medium, high) to suit your flying skill level and environment.
5.7 Trim Adjustment
If the drone drifts in any direction during hover, use the trim buttons on the remote control to fine-tune its stability. For example, if it drifts forward, press the backward trim button.
5.8 Camera and Video Functions
During flight, use the dedicated buttons on the remote control or the app interface to take photos or start/stop video recording.

5.9 Gravity Sensor Mode
Activate Gravity Sensor Mode in the app. Control the drone's movement (forward, backward, left, right) by tilting your smartphone in the desired direction.

5.10 Track Mode
In the app, draw a desired flight path on your screen. The drone will automatically follow this pre-defined route.

5.11 3D Rolling
Press the 3D Rolling button on the remote control, then push the right joystick in any direction to perform a 360-degree flip.

6. Battery Charging
When the drone's indicator lights begin to flash rapidly, it signifies a low battery. Recharge the drone battery immediately.
- Connect the drone battery to the USB charging cable.
- Plug the USB cable into a USB power source (e.g., computer, USB wall adapter).
- The indicator light on the USB charger will typically be red during charging.
- Once charging is complete, the indicator light will turn blue or off. Disconnect the battery.
Note: Charging time may vary. Do not leave batteries charging unattended.
7. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the drone. Avoid water or solvents.
- Propellers: Regularly check propellers for damage. Replace bent or broken propellers immediately.
- Storage: Store the drone and remote control in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. Remove batteries from the remote control if storing for extended periods.
- Battery Care: Do not overcharge or over-discharge batteries. Store batteries at approximately 50% charge if not used for a long time.
