3. Setup Instructions

Proper site preparation and assembly are crucial for the longevity and safety of your pool. Assembly typically takes approximately 45 minutes before filling.

3.1 Site Preparation

  1. Choose a Location: Select a firm, level piece of ground, free of sharp objects, debris, or overhead obstructions. The area should be large enough to accommodate the pool (15ft diameter) plus additional space for access and the filter pump.
  2. Level the Ground: The ground must be perfectly level. An unlevel pool can cause the frame to collapse and water to spill, leading to property damage or injury. Do not use sand to level the ground, as it can shift.
  3. Drainage: Ensure the chosen site has adequate drainage away from your home or other structures.

3.2 Ground Cloth Placement

Spread the included ground cloth evenly over the prepared level area. This provides an additional layer of protection for the pool liner.

3.3 Pool Liner and Frame Assembly

Unfold the pool liner and spread it out on top of the ground cloth. Ensure the drain plug is positioned away from your house or any structures. Begin assembling the frame by inserting the horizontal beams through the sleeves of the liner and connecting them with the composite T-Joints. The innovative T-Joint design allows for quick, tool-free assembly.

3.4 Filter Pump Connection

Connect the filter pump to the pool's inlet and outlet fittings according to the pump's instruction manual. Ensure all hoses are securely fastened and clamps are tightened to prevent leaks. Position the pump on a stable, level surface near the pool, ensuring it is within reach of a grounded electrical outlet with GFCI protection.

3.5 Ladder Assembly

Assemble the safety ladder following its specific instructions. Place the ladder on a solid, level surface outside the pool. Ensure it is stable before use. Always remove the ladder when the pool is not in use to prevent unsupervised access.

3.6 Filling the Pool

Begin filling the pool with water. As the water level rises, smooth out any wrinkles in the pool liner from the center outwards. Fill the pool to the recommended water line, typically indicated on the pool liner or frame.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Krystal Clear™ Cartridge Filter Pump

The included 1000 GPH Krystal Clear™ Cartridge Filter Pump is designed to keep your pool water clean and clear. It incorporates Hydro Aeration Technology for improved circulation, filtration, water clarity, and increased negative ions.

  • Daily Operation: Run the filter pump for 2-12 hours daily, depending on pool usage and water conditions. Refer to the pump manual for specific recommendations.
  • Priming: Before first use and after cleaning the filter, ensure the pump is properly primed by opening the air-release valve until water flows out.
  • Hydro Aeration Technology: This system enhances water quality by injecting air into the water, which helps to oxidize impurities and improve overall water freshness.

4.2 Water Chemistry

Maintaining proper water chemistry is essential for a safe and enjoyable swimming experience. Test your pool water regularly (daily or every other day) using a reliable test kit.

  • pH Level: Maintain pH between 7.4 and 7.6.
  • Chlorine Level: Maintain free chlorine between 1-3 ppm (parts per million).
  • Alkalinity: Maintain total alkalinity between 80-120 ppm.
  • Sanitizer: Add appropriate pool sanitizer (e.g., chlorine tablets or liquid) as needed, following product instructions.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Filter Cartridge Cleaning and Replacement

The filter cartridge should be rinsed with a garden hose every few days and replaced every 2 weeks, or sooner if it becomes heavily soiled.

  1. Turn off and unplug the filter pump.
  2. Close the plunger valves on the pool's inlet and outlet to prevent water flow.
  3. Unscrew the filter housing lid and remove the cartridge.
  4. Rinse thoroughly or replace with a new Intex Type A filter cartridge.
  5. Reassemble the pump, open plunger valves, and restart.

5.2 Pool Cleaning

  • Skimming: Regularly remove leaves and debris from the water surface using a pool skimmer.
  • Vacuuming: Use a pool vacuum to clean the pool floor as needed.
  • Liner Care: The 3-ply puncture-resistant PVC material is designed for durability. In case of minor damage, use the included repair patch.

5.3 Pool Cover Usage

Use the included pool cover when the pool is not in use to keep out debris, reduce evaporation, and maintain water temperature. Secure it with the rope tie.
