4. Setup
Before first use, ensure all components are present and undamaged.
4.1 Connecting the Charger
- Connect the charger's DC output plug into the corresponding input port on the battery charging dock.
- Connect the charger's power input to a compatible power source. Note: This charger is designed for use with NB-CP2L battery packs only and requires the AC adapter CA-CP200 B (not included) for power.

4.2 Inserting the Battery
- Align the NB-CP2L/1L battery pack with the battery slot on the charging dock. Ensure the contacts on the battery align with the contacts in the dock.
- Gently slide the battery into the dock until it clicks securely into place.

5. Operating Instructions (Charging)
Once the battery is correctly inserted into the charger and the charger is connected to a power source, the charging process will begin automatically.
5.1 Charging Indicator:
- Charging: The indicator light on the charger will illuminate orange.
- Charging Fully: The indicator light will turn green when the battery is fully charged.
The approximate charging time for a fully depleted battery is 4 hours.

5.2 Using the Battery with Your Printer
Once fully charged, remove the battery from the charging dock. Insert the battery into your compatible Canon SELPHY photo printer according to your printer's instruction manual. The battery allows for portable operation of your printer.
