Setup

Follow these steps to set up your Micnova GPS-N Plus with your Nikon camera:

1. Select the Correct Cable: Identify whether your camera requires the N1 or N3 adapter cable based on the compatibility list above.
2. Connect the GPS Unit: Connect the selected N1 or N3 cable to the Micnova GPS-N Plus unit.
3. Connect to Camera: Plug the other end of the cable into the appropriate port on your Nikon camera. This port is typically located on the side of the camera body.
4. Mounting (Optional): You can mount the GPS unit on your camera's hot shoe or use the included belt clip/hanging strap for alternative attachment.

Operating Instructions

Once connected, the GPS-N Plus is designed for user-friendly operation:

1. Power On: Turn on your Nikon camera. The GPS unit will power on automatically as it draws power directly from the camera.
2. Satellite Acquisition: The GPS unit will begin searching for satellite signals. A flashing green indicator light on the unit confirms it is acquiring a signal.
3. GPS Lock: Once a stable GPS signal is acquired, the indicator light will turn solid green. This signifies that the unit has successfully determined its location and is ready for geotagging.
4. Take Photos: You can now take photos by pressing the shutter release button on your camera body or by using the bonus remote release cable. The GPS coordinates will be automatically written to the EXIF data of each photo.
5. View Geotag Information:
   • On Camera: View the geotag information on the "GPS Data" page when reviewing images on your camera's LCD.
