1. Introduction

2. Safety Information

Please read all safety warnings and instructions before using this heater to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or injury. Keep this manual for future reference.

• Always plug heaters directly into a wall outlet/receptacle. Never use with an extension cord or relocatable power tap (outlet/power strip).
• This heater is hot when in use. To avoid burns, do not let bare skin touch hot surfaces.
• Keep combustible materials, such as furniture, pillows, bedding, papers, clothes, and curtains at least 3 feet (0.9 m) from the front of the heater and away from the sides and rear.
• Extreme caution is necessary when any heater is used by or near children or invalids and whenever the heater is left operating and unattended.
• Do not operate any heater with a damaged cord or plug or after the heater malfunctions, has been dropped or damaged in any manner.
• Do not use outdoors.
• To disconnect heater, turn controls to off, then remove plug from outlet.

3. Setup and Installation

The Heat Storm Phoenix HS-1500-PHX heater offers flexible installation options: floor-standing with attachable feet or wall-mounted.

3.1 Floor Standing Installation

To use the heater as a floor-standing unit, attach the included feet to the bottom of the heater. Ensure they are securely fastened for stability.

3.2 Wall Mounting Installation

For wall mounting, use the provided template and hardware. Ensure the mounting location allows for at least 12 inches of clear space above and below the heater for proper airflow and safety.

The back of the heater includes designated wall mounting points. A template is included to simplify the installation process, ensuring correct placement and level mounting.

3.3 Power Connection

Plug the heater directly into any standard 120V household outlet. Do not use extension cords or power strips.

4. Operating Instructions

The Heat Storm Phoenix HS-1500-PHX can be operated via its digital display, remote control, or a smart app (for Wi-Fi models).

4.1 Digital Display Controls

The heater features a built-in digital thermostat with an LED display. The display shows the ambient temperature and allows for direct control of settings.

• Power On/Off: Press the power button to turn the unit on or off.
• Temperature Adjustment: Use the '+' and '-' buttons to set the desired temperature (40°F to 99°F).
• Power Modes: Cycle through modes: Full 1500-Watt, Half 750-Watt, and Auto mode (automatically selects between half and full power).
• ECO Mode: Activates energy-efficient operation.
• Child Lock: Press and hold the lock icon to activate/deactivate. This prevents accidental changes to settings.
• Timer: Set a timer for automatic shut-off (up to 12 hours).

To connect, press and hold the Wi-Fi symbol on the heater's display for 5 seconds until it flashes, then follow the app's instructions to add the device.

5. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your heater.

5.1 Filter Cleaning

The heater is equipped with washable filters that capture dust and dander. Clean filters as needed to maintain air quality and heating efficiency.

• Locate the thumb tabs on each side of the heater.
• Engage the thumb tabs to release and slide out the filters.
• Clean the filters by vacuuming or washing with water. Ensure filters are completely dry before reinserting.
• Slide the filters back into place until they click securely.

If your heater is not operating correctly, please refer to the following common issues before contacting support:

• Heater not turning on: Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into a functioning 120V outlet. Check if the circuit breaker has tripped.
• No heat output: Verify that the desired temperature setting is higher than the ambient room temperature. Check the power mode settings.
• Overheat protection activated: If the heater shuts off unexpectedly, it may have overheated. Unplug the unit, wait 10-15 minutes for it to cool down, and ensure air intakes/exhausts are not blocked before restarting.

• Wi-Fi connectivity issues: Ensure your Wi-Fi network is active and the heater is within range. Follow the app's pairing instructions carefully.
