1. Product Overview
The Jacuzzi 15 TP Pool Filter is a high-flow sand filtration system designed for efficient water purification in large swimming pools. This filter features a durable, corrosion-proof, rotomolded polyethylene tank and a large filtration area, making it suitable for frequently used pools and allowing for extended periods between backwashes. It is equipped with a multi-port valve that provides six distinct operational functions for comprehensive pool maintenance.

2. Setup and Installation
Proper installation is crucial for the optimal performance and longevity of your Jacuzzi 15 TP Pool Filter. Please follow these steps carefully:
- Placement: Position the filter on a firm, level surface, preferably concrete, as close to the pool as possible. Ensure adequate space for maintenance and access to the multi-port valve.
- Sand Loading: Remove the multi-port valve assembly from the top of the filter tank. Cover the standpipe opening inside the tank to prevent sand from entering. Carefully pour the recommended amount and type of filter sand into the tank. Refer to the product specifications for the correct sand quantity (typically 50 kg for this model). Once filled, remove the standpipe cover.
- Valve Installation: Place the multi-port valve assembly onto the filter tank, ensuring the standpipe aligns correctly with the valve's opening. Secure the valve to the tank using the provided clamp or bolts, tightening evenly to create a watertight seal.
- Plumbing Connections: Connect the pool's plumbing lines to the appropriate ports on the multi-port valve. The 'PUMP' port connects to the pool pump, the 'RETURN' port connects to the pool's return lines, and the 'WASTE' port connects to a waste line or drain. Use appropriate PVC fittings and sealant for secure, leak-free connections.
- Pressure Gauge: Install the pressure gauge into the designated port on the multi-port valve. This gauge is essential for monitoring filter performance.
- Initial Backwash: Before operating the filter in 'FILTER' mode, perform an initial backwash to remove any fine sand particles or debris from the filter media.

3. Operating Instructions
The multi-port valve controls the flow of water through the filter. Always turn off the pool pump before changing the valve position to prevent damage to the valve or plumbing. The valve has six positions:
- FILTER (Filtrar): This is the standard operating position for normal filtration. Water flows through the sand media, trapping debris, and returns clean to the pool.
- BACKWASH (Retro lavar): Used to clean the filter sand. Water flows in reverse through the filter, dislodging trapped debris, and is discharged through the waste port. Perform backwash when the pressure gauge reads 8-10 PSI above its clean operating pressure.
- RINSE (Enxaguar): Used after backwashing to flush out any remaining dirty water from the filter and settle the sand bed. Water flows through the filter and out the waste port. Run for 30-60 seconds.
- WASTE (Drenar): Bypasses the filter and sends water directly out the waste port. Useful for vacuuming heavy debris directly to waste or lowering the pool water level.
- RECIRCULATE (Recircular): Bypasses the filter and circulates water directly back to the pool. Useful for mixing chemicals without filtering.
- CLOSED/TEST (Testar): Shuts off all flow to the filter. Use this position when performing maintenance on the pump or filter, or for pressure testing. Never operate the pump with the valve in the 'CLOSED' position.
To change valve positions: Turn off the pump. Press down on the valve handle, rotate it to the desired position, and release. Ensure the handle locks securely into place before restarting the pump.
