4. Setup and Charging
4.1 Initial Charge
Before first use, fully charge the device. The integrated battery ensures portability.
- Locate the charging port at the bottom of the device.
- Insert the charging cable firmly into the port.
- Connect the other end of the USB cable to a suitable USB power adapter (not included) or a computer USB port.
- The charging indicator light will illuminate. A full charge typically takes several hours.
- Once fully charged, disconnect the cable.

4.2 Attaching a Nozzle
- Select the desired nozzle (standard, tongue cleaner, or orthodontic).
- Insert the nozzle into the opening at the top of the flosser until it clicks securely into place.
- To remove, press the nozzle release button and pull the nozzle upwards.

4.3 Filling the Water Tank
- Open the water tank cover located on the side of the device.
- Fill the 150ml tank with lukewarm water. You may also use dentist-recommended mouthwash.
- Close the water tank cover firmly to prevent leakage.

5. Operating the Device
5.1 Selecting an Operating Mode
The Berdsen ClearJet X3 offers three operating modes:
- Normal: Standard mode for effective daily cleaning and plaque removal.
- Soft: Gentle mode for sensitive gums or first-time users.
- Pulse: Pulsating massage mode for gum stimulation and improved circulation.
Press the Mode button to cycle through these settings. The corresponding LED indicator will light up.

5.2 Usage Instructions
- Ensure the water tank is filled and a nozzle is securely attached.
- Select your desired operating mode.
- Lean over a sink and place the nozzle tip into your mouth, aiming it at your gumline at a 90-degree angle.
- Press the On/Off button to start the water flow.
- Guide the water jet along your gumline, pausing briefly between teeth. Allow the water to flow into the sink.
- The device features a 2-minute auto-timer, after which it will automatically shut off.
- After use, press the On/Off button to turn off the device if it hasn't already.

6. Maintenance and Cleaning
Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and hygiene.
6.1 After Each Use
- Empty any remaining water from the tank.
- Run the device briefly with an empty tank to clear any residual water from the internal components.
- Remove the nozzle and rinse it under running water.
- Wipe the main unit with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
- Allow all parts to air dry before storing.
6.2 Descaling (Monthly)
To prevent mineral buildup, descale the unit monthly:
- Mix 1 part white vinegar with 2 parts water in the water tank.
- Run the solution through the device until the tank is empty.
- Rinse the tank and run two full tanks of clean water through the device to flush out any vinegar residue.
