  3. Placement: Place the dehydrator on a stable, flat, heat-resistant surface. Ensure there is adequate space around the unit for proper ventilation (at least 15 cm on all sides). Do not place it near heat sources or flammable materials.
  4. Assemble: Stack the clean, dry trays onto the base unit. Place the lid securely on the top tray.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Preparing Food

  • Wash and prepare your food items (e.g., slice fruits and vegetables evenly, trim fat from meats).
  • For best results, slice food into uniform thickness to ensure even drying.
  • Pre-treatment (e.g., blanching vegetables, pre-soaking fruits in lemon juice) may be beneficial for certain foods to retain color and prevent spoilage.

5.2. Loading Trays

  • Arrange prepared food in a single layer on each tray.
  • Do not overlap food items, as this will hinder airflow and result in uneven drying.
  • Ensure there is sufficient space between food pieces for air circulation.

5.3. Setting Temperature and Timer

  1. Plug the dehydrator into a standard Australian power outlet. The LCD display will illuminate.
  2. Press the 'Temp' button to adjust the drying temperature. The temperature can be set from 40°C to 70°C. Refer to a dehydration guide for recommended temperatures for different food types.
  3. Press the 'Time' button to set the drying duration. The timer can be set for up to 48 hours.
  4. Once temperature and time are set, the dehydrator will begin operation.

5.4. Monitoring the Drying Process

  • The transparent trays and lid allow you to monitor the drying progress without opening the unit, which helps prevent heat loss.
  • The 360° complete drying system ensures fast and efficient drying with horizontal and vertical airflow.
  • Periodically check the food for desired dryness. Drying times vary based on food type, thickness, and moisture content.
  • When the drying cycle is complete, the unit will automatically shut off.

6. Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your dehydrator.

  1. Unplug: Always unplug the dehydrator from the power outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
  2. Trays and Lid: The transparent trays and lid are food-grade and can be washed by hand with warm, soapy water or placed in the dishwasher for convenience. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely before storing or reassembling.
  3. Base Unit: Wipe the exterior of the base unit with a soft, damp cloth. For stubborn stains, use a mild detergent. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads. Never immerse the base unit in water or any other liquid.
  4. Storage: Store the assembled dehydrator in a clean, dry place when not in use.
