3. Setup and Installation
3.1 Choosing an Installation Location
Select a location that provides the desired viewing angle and is within range of your Wi-Fi network (2.4GHz only). For outdoor use, ensure the location allows for proper cable management and power access. The camera is IP66 weatherproof, suitable for various outdoor conditions.
3.2 Mounting the Camera
- Mark Drilling Points: Use the camera's mounting base as a template to mark the screw holes on the wall or ceiling.
- Drill Holes: Drill pilot holes at the marked positions. Insert wall anchors if mounting on masonry.
- Secure Camera: Attach the camera's mounting base to the surface using the provided screws. Adjust the camera angle as needed.

3.3 Powering On and Initial Configuration
- Connect Power: Plug the included power adapter into the camera and then into a power outlet.
- Download App: Download the "SECUEYE" app from your smartphone's app store (Android 4.3+ or iOS 7.0+).
- Register Account: Open the app and follow the on-screen instructions to register a new account or log in.
- Add Camera: In the app, select "Add Device" or similar option. Follow the prompts to connect the camera to your Wi-Fi network. This typically involves scanning a QR code on the camera or using an audio pairing method.
- MicroSD Card Installation (Optional): If using local storage, insert a MicroSD card (up to 256GB) into the designated slot on the camera. Ensure the camera is powered off before inserting or removing the card.
4. Operation
4.1 Live View and Remote Access
Once connected, open the SECUEYE app to view live footage from your camera. You can view up to 4 live camera feeds on one screen. Ensure your smartphone has an active internet connection for remote viewing.

4.2 Two-Way Audio
To use the two-way audio feature, tap the microphone icon within the live view interface of the SECUEYE app. Speak into your phone's microphone to transmit audio through the camera's speaker. Tap the speaker icon to listen to audio from the camera's microphone.

4.3 Motion Detection and Alerts
Configure motion detection settings in the SECUEYE app. You can adjust sensitivity, set detection zones, and schedule alert times. When motion is detected, the camera will trigger an alarm and send an instant notification to your smartphone.

4.4 Night Vision
The camera automatically switches to night vision mode in low-light conditions, utilizing its IR LEDs to provide clear black-and-white footage up to 100 feet (30 meters). The advanced IR-Cut filter ensures accurate color reproduction during the day.

4.5 Digital Zoom
While viewing live footage or recordings in the SECUEYE app, you can use pinch-to-zoom gestures to digitally zoom in up to 10 times to see finer details or zoom out for a broader perspective.

4.6 Recording and Playback
Recordings are stored on the installed MicroSD card or in the optional Cloud Storage. Access recorded footage through the SECUEYE app's playback function. You can review events by date and time.
5. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Regularly wipe the camera lens with a soft, dry cloth to ensure clear image quality. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
- Firmware Updates: Check the SECUEYE app periodically for firmware updates. Keeping your camera's firmware up-to-date ensures optimal performance and security.
- Power Supply: Ensure the power adapter and cable are free from damage. Do not use unauthorized power adapters.
- Environmental Protection: While the camera is IP66 weatherproof, avoid directing high-pressure water jets directly at the device.
6. Troubleshooting
6.1 Camera Not Connecting to Wi-Fi
- Ensure your Wi-Fi network is 2.4GHz. The camera does not support 5GHz networks.
- Verify the Wi-Fi password is correct.
- Place the camera closer to your Wi-Fi router during initial setup to ensure a strong signal.
- Restart your router and the camera.
6.2 No Image or Poor Image Quality
- Check the power connection to the camera.
- Clean the camera lens if it appears dirty or smudged.
- Ensure there are no obstructions blocking the camera's view.
- Verify your internet connection speed if viewing remotely.
6.3 Motion Detection Not Working
- Check motion detection settings in the SECUEYE app. Ensure it is enabled and sensitivity is adjusted appropriately.
- Verify that alert notifications are enabled on your smartphone for the SECUEYE app.
- Ensure the camera's field of view is not obstructed.
6.4 MicroSD Card Not Recording
- Ensure the MicroSD card is inserted correctly and fully.
- Check if the MicroSD card is formatted within the SECUEYE app.
- Verify that recording settings (e.g., continuous, motion-triggered) are configured correctly in the app.
- The card may be full; consider enabling loop recording or upgrading to a larger capacity card.
