Initial Setup
- Unpack the Unit: Carefully remove the ice maker from its packaging. Ensure all packing materials are removed.
- Placement: Place the ice maker on a flat, stable surface away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Ensure there is adequate ventilation around the unit.
- Initial Cleaning: Before first use, clean the interior of the ice maker, including the water reservoir, ice basket, and ice scoop, with a mild detergent and warm water. Rinse thoroughly and wipe dry.
- Add Water: Open the lid and fill the water reservoir with potable water up to the MAX fill line. Do not overfill.
Operating Your Ice Maker
- Power On: Plug the unit into a grounded electrical outlet. Press the POWER button on the control panel to turn on the ice maker.
- Select Ice Size: Press the SELECT button to choose between small (S) or large (L) ice cube sizes. The corresponding LED indicator will illuminate.
- Ice Production: The unit will begin the ice-making cycle. Ice cubes will be ready in approximately 7 minutes, depending on the selected size and ambient temperature.
- Ice Full Indicator: When the ice basket is full, the ICE FULL indicator light will illuminate, and the ice maker will automatically stop production. Remove ice from the basket to resume operation.
- Add Water Indicator: If the water reservoir is low, the ADD WATER indicator light will illuminate. Add more water to the reservoir to continue ice production.
Care and Maintenance
Regular cleaning and maintenance will ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your ice maker.
- Draining Water: When not in use for an extended period, or for cleaning, drain the water from the unit. The drain plug is located at the bottom of the unit. Place the ice maker over a sink or use a container to collect the water.
- Cleaning Interior: Clean the interior components, including the water reservoir and ice basket, regularly with a solution of water and vinegar or a mild, food-safe cleaner. Rinse thoroughly to remove any residue.
- Exterior Cleaning: Wipe the exterior of the unit with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Air Drying: After cleaning, leave the lid open to allow the interior to air dry completely before storing.
