Setup

1. Time Setting:

   • Use the FORWARD and REVERSE buttons to select your home city code.
   • Press the MODE button to cycle through settings: DST (Daylight Saving Time), 12/24-hour format, seconds, hour, minute, year, month, day.
   • Use the FORWARD and REVERSE buttons to change the flashing value.
   • Press ADJUST to exit the setting screen.
2. Date Setting: The date is typically set automatically when you set the time and year. Ensure the correct year, month, and day are entered during time setting. The full auto-calendar feature will adjust for month lengths and leap years.

Operating Instructions

Mode Navigation

Press the MODE button to cycle through the following modes:

Stopwatch Function

• Enter Stopwatch Mode.
• Press the START/STOP button (usually top right) to start and stop the stopwatch.
• Press the RESET button (usually bottom right) to reset to zero.
• To record split times, press SPLIT (usually bottom left) while the stopwatch is running. Press again to release the split and display the current running time.
• The stopwatch measures up to 24 hours in 1/100-second increments for the first hour, then in 1-second increments.

Timer Function

• Enter Timer Mode.
• Press and hold ADJUST to enter timer setting mode.
• Use FORWARD and REVERSE buttons to set the desired countdown time (up to 24 hours, in 1-second units).
• Press ADJUST to confirm and exit setting mode.
• Press START/STOP to start and stop the countdown.
• The timer features an auto-repeat function.

Alarm Function

• Enter Alarm Mode.
• Use FORWARD and REVERSE buttons to select an alarm (AL1, AL2, etc.) or the Hourly Time Signal (SIG).
• Press and hold ADJUST to enter alarm time setting.
• Use FORWARD and REVERSE buttons to set the alarm hour and minute.
• Press ADJUST to confirm.
• Press START/STOP to toggle the selected alarm or hourly time signal ON/OFF.

EL Backlight

Press the LIGHT button (usually top left) to illuminate the display. The EL backlight includes an afterglow feature, keeping the display lit for a few seconds after the button is released.

Flash Alert

The watch features a flash alert function that causes the display to flash in conjunction with alarms, hourly time signals, and timer countdown end alerts.

Maintenance

• Cleaning: Wipe the watch regularly with a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn dirt, use a soft cloth dampened with water and a mild neutral detergent, then wipe dry. Avoid using volatile agents like thinner or benzine.
• Water Resistance: This watch is 20 BAR water resistant. It is suitable for everyday use, showering, swimming, and snorkeling. Do not operate buttons underwater. After exposure to saltwater, rinse the watch with fresh water and wipe it dry.
• Temperature Exposure: Avoid exposing the watch to extreme temperatures, direct sunlight for prolonged periods, or sudden temperature changes.
• Chemicals: Avoid contact with gasoline, cleaning solvents, aerosol sprays, adhesives, paints, etc. These can cause discoloration, deterioration, or damage to the resin case and band.
• Battery Replacement: The watch uses a single battery. When the display becomes dim or functions become unstable, it is time to replace the battery. Battery replacement should be performed by an authorized CASIO service center.
