1. Introduction

The Anpviz 5-Inch 4-in-1 CCTV Monitor Tester (Model IV8-GM) is a portable, multi-functional device designed for testing AHD, TVI, CVI, and CVBS coaxial analog video surveillance systems. It features a 5-inch TFT-LCD screen with 800x480 resolution, making it easy to view camera images during installation and maintenance. This tester supports various resolutions up to 8MP for TVI, AHD, and CVI cameras, and PAL/NTSC for CVBS. It also includes built-in functions such as PTZ control, UTP cable testing, audio surveillance testing, and DC12V power output for cameras. 4. Setup and Operation

4.1 Initial Setup and Battery Activation

Before first use, ensure the battery is activated. The tester includes a built-in 18650 2600mA battery. A protective film is placed on the battery terminals during shipping. Please remove this film before attempting to power on the device.

To power on the device, press and hold the power button located on the side of the tester. The device will boot up and display the main interface.

4.2 Connecting and Testing Analog Cameras

The Anpviz IV8-GM tester supports various analog camera types. Follow these steps to connect and test your camera:

  1. Connect the BNC cable from your analog camera to the "Video Input" port on the tester.
  2. If the camera requires power, use the DC12V output cable from the tester to power the camera.
  3. Power on the tester. The screen should display the camera's video feed.
  4. If the image appears black and white or distorted, the signal format may not correspond. Use the "MODE" button to cycle through AHD, TVI, CVI, and CVBS modes until a clear image is displayed.

4.3 PTZ Control

The tester includes a built-in PTZ controller for compatible cameras. Connect the RS485 wires from your PTZ camera to the RS485 terminal on the tester. Use the directional buttons and zoom/focus controls on the tester to manipulate the camera's view.

4.4 UTP Cable Testing

To test UTP cables, connect one end of the cable to the RJ45 port on the tester and the other end to the provided UTP cable test terminator. The tester will display the connection status, cable type, and wire sequence.

4.5 VGA/HDMI Input Usage

The tester can function as a display for DVRs or NVRs. Connect an HDMI or VGA cable from your DVR/NVR to the corresponding input port on the tester. Use the VGA/HDMI switch to select the correct input mode.
