Thank you for purchasing the Monster Jam Official Megalodon 1:24 Scale Remote Control Monster Truck. This manual provides essential information for the safe and proper operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of your new RC truck. Please read all instructions carefully before use.

This remote control monster truck is designed for ages 4 and up, featuring a 2.4 GHz frequency for multi-truck racing and a range of up to 250 feet. Its authentic Megalodon styling and BKT Tires ensure a realistic and engaging play experience.

Your package should contain the following items:

Setup

Battery Installation

The Monster Jam Megalodon RC Truck requires 3 AAA batteries (not included) for the remote controller. The truck itself features an integrated USB charging cable.

1. For the Remote Controller: Locate the battery compartment on the back of the controller. Use a screwdriver to open the compartment. Insert 3 AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-). Close the compartment and secure it with the screw.
2. For the Monster Truck: The truck has a built-in rechargeable battery. To charge, turn the vehicle off. Remove the cover from the charging cable compartment located on the underside of the truck. Plug the USB charging cable into a computer or a 5VDC rated wall adapter. The headlights will blink during charging and remain ON when fully charged.

Pairing the Controller

To ensure proper communication between the controller and the truck:

1. Turn the vehicle off.
2. Remove batteries from the controller.
3. Push the throttle up and down to drain any remaining power from the controller.
4. Turn on the truck.
5. Insert batteries into the controller.
6. Push the throttle lever on the controller to the maximum position for approximately 3 seconds, then return it to the minimum position to complete the connection.
7. The wheels should turn to the right and then return to confirm successful pairing.

Operating Instructions

Basic Controls

The remote controller features dual joysticks for intuitive control:

• Left Joystick: Controls forward and backward movement.
• Right Joystick: Controls left and right turning.

The truck's design allows for various maneuvers, including spins and flips, even when on its side. Experiment with the controls to discover its full capabilities.

• Wipe the truck and controller with a clean, damp cloth after each use.

Storage

When not in use, store the RC truck and controller in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Remove batteries from the controller if storing for extended periods.

Troubleshooting

Here are solutions to common issues you might encounter:

• RC Vehicle Not Turning On:
  Charge the RC truck until the headlights stop blinking and remain ON. Ensure the vehicle is turned OFF while charging.
• Trouble with Controller Pairing:
  1. Turn the vehicle off and remove batteries from the controller.
  2. Push the throttle up and down to drain any remaining power after batteries are removed.
  3. Turn on the truck.
  4. Insert batteries into the controller.
  5. Push the throttle lever up to the maximum position for approximately 3 seconds and back to minimum position to complete the connection.
  6. The wheels should turn to the right and return back to confirm pairing is successful.
• Controller Not Turning On:
  1. Remove the batteries from the controller and put them back in or replace with brand new premium batteries.
  2. Ensure batteries are inserted in the correct orientation.
• Charging the Megalodon RC:
  1. Turn the vehicle off.
  2. Remove the cover from the charging cable compartment.
  3. Plug the charging cable into a computer or wall adapter. Only connect USB charging cable to a computer or other 5VDC rated power source.
  4. Headlights indicate charging: Blinking for charging and ON when fully charged.
• USB Charging Cable Location:
  The USB charging cable comes attached inside the bottom of the Mega Grave Digger (Megalodon). Slide down the bottom panel to access it.
