4. Maintenance

4.1 Cleaning the Lens

To maintain optimal clarity, clean the lens regularly. Use a soft, lint-free cloth, such as a microfiber cloth, specifically designed for optical lenses. If necessary, a small amount of lens cleaning solution can be applied to the cloth, not directly to the lens. Avoid using abrasive materials, paper towels, or harsh chemical cleaners, as these can scratch the lens or damage its coating.

4.2 Battery Replacement

When the LED light dims or fails to turn on, it is time to replace the batteries. Follow the battery installation steps in Section 2.1. Always use fresh AA batteries and dispose of old batteries responsibly according to local regulations.

4.3 Storage

Store the magnifier in its provided protective case when not in use. This helps prevent dust accumulation and protects the lens from scratches and impacts. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.

5. Troubleshooting

  • LED Light Not Working:
Check if the batteries are correctly inserted with the proper polarity. Ensure the batteries are not depleted and replace them if necessary. Verify that the power switch is fully in the 'On' position.
  • Blurred or Distorted Image:
Adjust the distance between the magnifier lens and the object being viewed. Ensure the lens is clean and free of smudges or debris (refer to Section 4.1 for cleaning instructions).
  • Difficulty with Light Intensity/Color:
Experiment with the different attachable color filters to find the most suitable light temperature and intensity for your environment and task.
