Setup
1. Charging the Device
Before first use, fully charge your tablet. Connect the provided Type-C charger to the tablet's Type-C port and plug it into a power outlet. The battery indicator on the screen will show charging status.
2. Inserting SIM and TF Cards
The CHUWI Hi9 Pro supports dual SIM cards for 4G LTE connectivity and a TF (microSD) card for expandable storage.
- Locate the SIM/TF card tray on the side of the tablet.
- Use the provided SIM ejector tool to gently push into the small hole next to the tray until it pops out.
- Carefully place your 4G LTE SIM cards and/or TF card into the designated slots on the tray. Ensure they are correctly oriented.
- Gently push the tray back into the tablet until it clicks into place.

3. Initial Power On and Setup
- Press and hold the Power On/Off button until the screen lights up.
- Follow the on-screen prompts to select your language, connect to a Wi-Fi network, and set up your Google account.
- Complete the initial setup steps to access the Android home screen.
Operating Instructions
1. Basic Navigation
The CHUWI Hi9 Pro uses a capacitive touchscreen for interaction:
- Tap: Touch the screen once to open an app, select an item, or confirm an action.
- Swipe: Drag your finger across the screen to scroll through pages, lists, or switch between home screens.
- Pinch: Use two fingers to zoom in or out on photos, maps, or web pages.
- Long Press: Press and hold an item to access contextual menus or move icons.
2. Connecting to Networks
Wi-Fi:
- Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Wi-Fi.
- Toggle Wi-Fi On.
- Select your desired network from the list and enter the password if prompted.
Mobile Data (4G LTE):
- Ensure a valid 4G LTE SIM card is inserted.
- Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Mobile network.
- Toggle Mobile data On. You may need to configure APN settings depending on your carrier.
3. Making Calls (Phablet Functionality)
As a phablet, the Hi9 Pro supports voice calls via its 4G LTE connection.
- Open the Phone app.
- Dial the number using the keypad or select a contact.
- Press the call button to initiate the call.
4. Using Cameras
The tablet features a 5.0MP front camera and an 8.0MP rear camera.
- Open the Camera app.
- Tap the camera switch icon to toggle between the front and rear cameras.
- Tap the shutter button to take photos or start/stop video recording.

5. Installing and Uninstalling Applications
Installing Apps:
- Open the Google Play Store app.
- Search for the desired app and tap Install.
Uninstalling Apps:
- Long press the app icon on the home screen or app drawer.
- Drag the icon to the Uninstall option that appears, or select Uninstall from the pop-up menu.

6. OTG Functionality
The tablet supports USB On-The-Go (OTG), allowing you to connect compatible USB devices like flash drives, keyboards, or mice using an OTG adapter (sold separately).
- Connect the OTG adapter to the tablet's Type-C port.
- Plug your USB device into the OTG adapter. The tablet should automatically detect the device.
7. GPS Navigation
The CHUWI Hi9 Pro has built-in GPS for location services and navigation.
- Ensure location services are enabled in Settings > Security & Location > Location.

Maintenance
1. Cleaning the Device

2. Battery Care

- Wi-Fi or Mobile Data issues: Check if Wi-Fi/Mobile Data is enabled in settings. Restart your router or the tablet. Ensure SIM card is properly inserted and active.
- Apps crashing or freezing: Try clearing the app's cache (Settings > Apps & notifications > App info > [App Name] > Storage & cache > Clear cache). If the issue persists, uninstall and reinstall the app.
- Slow performance: Close unnecessary background apps. Clear storage by deleting unused files or apps. Consider a factory reset if performance remains poor after other steps.
- Tablet not charging: Ensure the charger and cable are working correctly. Try a different compatible charger. Check the Type-C port for debris.
