Unboxing and Initial Placement
- Carefully remove all components from the packaging: Roomba i7+ Robot Vacuum, Clean Base Automatic Dirt Disposal, Line Cord, Filter, and Side Brush.
- Place the Clean Base in an area with good Wi-Fi coverage, on a hard, level surface, and against a wall. Ensure there are no obstacles within 1.5 feet (0.5 meters) on either side of the Clean Base and 4 feet (1.2 meters) in front of it.
- Plug the Line Cord into the Clean Base and then into a wall outlet.
Charging the Robot
- Place the Roomba robot onto the Clean Base charging contacts. The light ring around the CLEAN button will pulse white to indicate charging.
- Allow the robot to fully charge before its first cleaning mission. A full charge typically takes 1.5 to 3 hours.
3. Operating Your Roomba i7+
Using the iRobot HOME App
The iRobot HOME App provides full control over your Roomba i7+, including scheduling, custom cleaning, and monitoring.
- Download the iRobot HOME App from your device's app store.
- Follow the in-app instructions to connect your Roomba to your home Wi-Fi network.
- Once connected, the app will guide you through creating an Imprint Smart Map of your home. This involves several mapping runs where the robot learns your home layout.
