  2. Boil the water as described in the "Operating Instructions" section.
  3. Discard the boiled water.
  4. Repeat this process two to three times to remove any manufacturing residues.

Setup

Setting up your Toastmaster Electric Kettle is simple:

Operating Instructions

Boiling Water

  1. Press the lid release button on the handle to open the hinged lid.
  2. Fill the kettle with the desired amount of fresh, cold water. Do not fill below the MIN mark or above the MAX (1.7L) mark on the water level window. Overfilling may cause boiling water to spill out.
  3. Close the lid securely.
  4. Place the kettle firmly onto the power base.
  5. Press the illuminated power switch down to the "ON" position. The indicator light will illuminate, signifying that the kettle is heating.
  6. Once the water has boiled, the kettle will automatically shut off, and the indicator light will extinguish.

Automatic Shut-off and Keep-Warm Feature

The kettle is equipped with an automatic shut-off function for safety and convenience. It will turn off once the water reaches a boil. Additionally, the kettle includes a keep-warm feature, allowing the water to maintain its temperature for a period after boiling. No manual activation is required for these features.

Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning helps maintain the performance and longevity of your kettle.

Cleaning the Exterior

  • Always unplug the kettle from the power outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
  • Wipe the exterior of the kettle with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
  • Never immerse the kettle body or power base in water or any other liquid.

Descaling (Removing Mineral Deposits)

Mineral deposits (limescale) can build up inside the kettle over time, especially in hard water areas. This can affect boiling time and efficiency. Descale your kettle regularly:

  1. Fill the kettle with 2 cups of white vinegar and 2 cups of water.
  2. Bring the mixture to a boil and let it stand for 30 minutes.
  3. Discard the mixture and rinse the kettle thoroughly with fresh water.
  4. For stubborn deposits, repeat the process or use a commercial descaling solution following its instructions.
