8. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your Polycom VVX 150 phone, refer to the following common troubleshooting steps:
| Problem | Possible Solution |
|---|---|
| Phone does not power on. | Ensure the Ethernet cable is securely connected to a PoE-enabled port. If using an external power adapter, verify it is correctly connected to a working power outlet. |
| No dial tone or cannot make/receive calls. | Check the network cable connection. Verify that the phone is registered with your VoIP service (check the display for registration status). Contact your system administrator if the issue persists. |
| Poor call quality (echo, static). | Check your network connection and internet speed. Ensure the handset or headset is properly connected. Try adjusting the volume. |
| Cannot access the phone's web interface. | Verify the phone's IP address (usually found in the phone's menu under Status > Network). Ensure your computer is on the same network segment and there are no firewall restrictions. |
| "Duplicate IP Address" error. | This indicates an IP address conflict on your network. Contact your network administrator to resolve the IP address assignment. |
If these steps do not resolve the issue, please contact your system administrator or Poly support for further assistance.
