4. Setup

4.1 First Use

  1. Remove any labels or protective film from the soleplate.
  2. Before first use, iron an old piece of fabric to ensure no residue is left on the soleplate.

4.2 Filling the Water Tank

  1. Ensure the iron is unplugged from the power outlet.
  2. Open the water tank filler cap.
  3. Fill the water tank with tap water up to the "MAX" mark. For areas with very hard water, a mixture of 50% tap water and 50% distilled water is recommended. Do not use perfumed water or descaling agents.
  4. Close the filler cap securely.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Powering On and iCare Technology

  1. Plug the iron into a suitable power outlet.
  2. The iCare setting will automatically activate, providing a safe temperature for all ironable fabrics. There is no need to manually adjust the temperature.
  3. Wait for the indicator light to stop flashing, indicating the iron has reached the optimal temperature.

5.2 Using Steam

  • Continuous Steam: Press the steam button to activate continuous steam. The iron delivers up to 50 g/min of steam.
  • Steam Shot: For stubborn creases, press the steam shot button. This provides a powerful burst of steam up to 230 g/min.
  • Vertical Steaming: The steam shot can also be used for vertical steaming of hanging garments or curtains. Hold the iron vertically a few centimeters away from the fabric and press the steam shot button.

5.3 Dry Ironing

To iron without steam, ensure the water tank is empty or simply do not press the steam buttons. The iCare technology will still maintain the optimal temperature for your fabrics.

5.4 FreeGlide 3D Technology

The unique rounded soleplate design allows for 360° gliding over any fabric and obstacles like buttons and pockets, even when moving backward. This prevents snagging and makes ironing smoother.

5.5 Automatic Shut-off

For safety and energy conservation, the iron automatically switches off if left stationary for:

  • 30 seconds in a horizontal position.
  • 8 minutes in a vertical position.

To restart the iron, simply move it.

6. Maintenance and Cleaning

6.1 Cleaning the Soleplate

  • Allow the iron to cool down completely.
  • Wipe the soleplate with a damp cloth and a non-abrasive liquid cleaner.
  • Do not use abrasive pads, vinegar, or harsh chemicals as these can damage the soleplate.

6.2 Descaling (Anti-Calc System)

The iron is equipped with an anti-calc system to reduce limescale build-up. For optimal performance, regularly flush the steam chamber:

  1. Fill the water tank with tap water.
  2. Heat the iron to its maximum temperature.
  3. Unplug the iron and hold it over a sink.
  4. Press and hold the steam shot button to allow water and steam to flush out mineral deposits.
  5. Repeat if necessary.

6.3 Storage

After use, unplug the iron, empty the water tank, and allow it to cool down before storing it in an upright position.

7. Troubleshooting
