Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| LED does not light up when battery is inserted. | Charger not powered; battery incorrectly inserted; battery completely discharged; faulty battery. | Ensure USB cable is securely connected to a working 5V power source. Re-insert battery correctly, observing polarity. Try a different battery. |
| LED is flashing. | Battery incorrectly inserted; non-rechargeable battery; faulty battery; oxidized contacts. | Re-insert battery correctly. Ensure it is a Ni-MH/Ni-CD rechargeable battery. Clean battery contacts. Replace faulty battery. |
| Batteries get warm during charging. | Normal during charging; charger is covered. | A slight increase in temperature is normal. Ensure the charger is not covered and has adequate ventilation. If excessively hot (>45°C), unplug immediately. |
| Charging takes too long. | Low power USB source; high capacity batteries. | Use a 5V/2A USB power adapter for faster charging. High capacity batteries naturally take longer to charge. |
