4. Route the Shift Cable: Guide the shift cable from your shifter through the frame's cable guides and into the derailleur's cable anchor bolt. Pull the cable taut and secure it with the anchor bolt, ensuring not to overtighten.
5. Adjust Limit Screws (H & L):
   • High Limit (H): Shift the chain to the smallest cog. Adjust the 'H' screw so the upper pulley is directly aligned with the smallest cog. This prevents the chain from shifting off the cassette into the frame.
   • Low Limit (L): Shift the chain to the largest cog. Adjust the 'L' screw so the upper pulley is directly aligned with the largest cog. This prevents the chain from shifting off the cassette into the spokes.
6. Adjust B-Tension: With the chain on the largest cog and the largest chainring (if applicable), adjust the B-tension screw to set the gap between the upper derailleur pulley and the largest cog. Aim for a gap of 5-7mm for optimal shifting.
7. Fine-Tune Cable Tension: Shift through all gears. If shifting is slow or hesitant, adjust the barrel adjuster on the shifter or derailleur. Turn clockwise to loosen tension (for downshifts) and counter-clockwise to tighten tension (for upshifts).
