Setup and Assembly
Before using your Ambiano Electric Stainless Steel Citrus Juicer for the first time, please follow these steps:
- Unpack: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Retain packaging for storage or disposal.
- Clean: Wash all removable parts (dust cover, reamers, filter, juice collector) in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely. The removable parts are dishwasher safe. Wipe the motor base with a damp cloth; do not immerse the motor base in water.
- Assemble:
- Place the juice collector onto the motor base, ensuring it is seated correctly.
- Position the filter/strainer on top of the juice collector.
- Select the appropriate reamer (large for oranges/grapefruits, small for lemons/limes) and place it onto the shaft in the center of the filter.
- Place the dust cover on top when the juicer is not in use.
- Position: Place the assembled juicer on a stable, flat, and dry surface.
Operating Instructions
Follow these steps to extract fresh citrus juice:
- Prepare Fruit: Wash your citrus fruit thoroughly. Cut the fruit in half across the middle (perpendicular to the stem).
- Plug In: Ensure the anti-drip spout is in the open position (downwards) if you want juice to flow directly into a glass, or closed (upwards) if you want it to collect in the juice collector. Plug the power cord into a suitable electrical outlet (240V).
- Juice Extraction: Place one half of the cut citrus fruit onto the reamer. Apply gentle downward pressure. The motor will automatically start rotating the reamer.
- Continue Juicing: Rotate the fruit slightly on the reamer to ensure maximum juice extraction. Continue until all desired fruit halves are juiced.
- Collect Juice: The fresh juice will flow through the filter into the juice collector or directly into your glass via the spout.
- Finish: Once juicing is complete, release pressure from the reamer. The motor will stop automatically. Unplug the appliance from the power outlet.
Tip: For best results, use room temperature fruit. Cold fruit yields less juice.
Cleaning and Maintenance
Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your juicer. Always unplug the appliance before cleaning.
- Disassemble: Remove the dust cover, reamer, filter, and juice collector from the motor base.
- Wash Removable Parts: Wash these parts immediately after use to prevent pulp from drying and sticking. They can be washed by hand in warm, soapy water using a soft brush for the filter, or placed in the dishwasher (top rack recommended).
- Clean Motor Base: Wipe the exterior of the motor base with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scourers. Never immerse the motor base in water or any other liquid.
- Dry and Store: Ensure all parts are completely dry before reassembling or storing the juicer. Store in a clean, dry place.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Juicer does not turn on. | Not plugged in; power outlet not working; appliance not assembled correctly; no pressure applied to reamer. | Ensure the plug is securely in the outlet. Check the power outlet with another appliance. Reassemble all parts correctly. Apply gentle downward pressure to the reamer with fruit. |
| Low juice yield. | Fruit is too cold; insufficient pressure; fruit not cut correctly. | Use room temperature fruit. Apply firm, even pressure. Cut fruit halves across the middle. |
| Motor stops during operation. | Overheating due to continuous use; excessive pressure. | Unplug the juicer and let it cool down for at least 15-20 minutes. Reduce pressure when juicing. |
