1. Introduction

2. Setup

2.1 Unpacking and Initial Placement

Carefully remove the alarm clock from its packaging. Place the unit on a stable, flat surface away from direct sunlight, heat sources, or excessive moisture. Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit.

2.2 Power Connection

  1. Plug the AC power adapter into the DC IN jack located on the back of the alarm clock.
  2. Plug the other end of the adapter into a standard wall outlet.

The unit will power on, and the display will illuminate. Due to the Advanced SelfSet technology, the clock should automatically set the correct time and date upon initial power-up. Allow a few moments for this process to complete.

2.3 Battery Backup Installation

The EAAC601W includes a pre-installed 3V CR2032 flat Lithium battery for backup purposes. This battery preserves your time and alarm settings during a power outage. No user installation is required for initial use.

3. Operating Instructions

3.1 Time and Date Settings

While the clock features SelfSet technology, manual adjustment may be necessary in certain situations or for specific time zones. Refer to the Quick Start Guide for detailed button functions for manual time and date adjustments.

3.2 Daylight Saving Time (DST)

The clock automatically adjusts for Daylight Saving Time. To manually toggle DST, press the DST/HA button (refer to the button layout on your device).

3.3 Alarm Settings (Dual Alarm)

The EAAC601W features two independent alarms. You can set each alarm to wake you with the radio, a buzzer, or the time projection. Consult the Quick Start Guide for specific steps on setting Alarm 1 and Alarm 2, including adjusting the wake-up source and volume, and enabling weekend cancellation.

3.4 Time and Temperature Projection

The integrated projector can display the time or indoor temperature onto a wall or ceiling. The projection arm swivels 180 degrees for optimal viewing angle.

  1. To activate or deactivate the projection, locate the projection button on the unit.
  2. To adjust the projection angle, gently swivel the projection arm.
  3. To adjust the focus of the projected image, rotate the focus wheel on the projector lens.

3.5 Display Brightness

The 3.6" LCD display offers multiple brightness settings (Low, Medium, High) to suit your preference. Use the dedicated dimmer button to cycle through the brightness levels.

3.6 AM/FM Radio Operation

To listen to the radio:

  1. Press the Radio On/Off button to turn on the radio.
  2. Press the AM/FM button to switch between bands.
  3. Use the Tune Up/Down buttons to manually tune to a station or press and hold to auto-scan for the next available station.
  4. Adjust the volume using the Volume Up/Down buttons.

3.7 AUX Input

Connect an external audio device (e.g., smartphone, MP3 player) to the 3.5mm AUX IN jack on the unit using a standard audio cable. The clock will automatically switch to AUX mode, allowing you to play audio through its speaker.

3.8 Nap/Sleep Timer

The alarm clock includes a Nap/Sleep timer function. Press the NAP/SIESTE button to activate and cycle through the available timer durations. The unit will automatically turn off or sound an alarm after the set time.

3.9 Temperature Display

The clock displays the indoor temperature. To switch between Celsius (°C) and Fahrenheit (°F), press the °C/°F button.
