1. Introduction
Thank you for choosing Klipsch RP-8000F Floorstanding Speakers. These speakers are designed to deliver high-performance audio for your home theater or music listening experience. This manual provides essential information for setting up, operating, and maintaining your speakers to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
2. Key Features
- 1" Titanium LTS Vented Tweeter with Hybrid Tractrix Horn: Maximizes efficiency and increases detail while focusing high frequencies towards the listening area.
- Dual 8" Spun Copper Cerametallic Woofers: Exceptionally rigid and lightweight for minimal distortion and maximum efficiency.
- Bass-Reflex via Rear-Firing Tractrix Port: Utilizes Tractrix geometry for efficient, fast air transfer, reducing port noise for punchier low frequencies.
- Dual Binding Posts for Bi-Wire/Bi-Amp: Allows for flexible connection options to optimize audio performance.
- Strong, Flexible Removable Magnetic Grille: Provides aesthetic versatility and protection for the speaker components.
3. Setup
3.1 Unpacking
Carefully remove the speakers from their packaging. Retain all packaging materials for future transport or storage. Inspect the speakers for any signs of damage. If damage is present, do not proceed with setup and contact your retailer.
3.2 Placement
For optimal sound, place the floorstanding speakers equidistant from your primary listening position. Experiment with toe-in (angling the speakers slightly inward) to achieve the best stereo imaging. Avoid placing speakers directly into corners, as this can overemphasize bass frequencies. Ensure adequate space behind the speakers for the rear-firing port.

3.3 Connections
The RP-8000F speakers feature dual binding posts, allowing for standard wiring or bi-wiring/bi-amping. Ensure your receiver or amplifier is turned off before making any connections.
- Standard Wiring: Connect the positive (+) terminal of your amplifier to the positive (+) terminal of the speaker, and the negative (-) terminal of your amplifier to the negative (-) terminal of the speaker. Ensure the metal jumper plates connecting the upper and lower binding posts are in place.
- Bi-Wiring/Bi-Amping: Remove the metal jumper plates. For bi-wiring, use two sets of speaker cables per speaker, one for the high-frequency terminals and one for the low-frequency terminals. For bi-amping, use separate amplifier channels for high and low frequencies. Consult your amplifier's manual for specific bi-amping instructions.

4. Operating
Once connected, turn on your amplifier/receiver and select the appropriate input source. Start with a low volume level and gradually increase it to your desired listening level. The Klipsch RP-8000F speakers are highly efficient, meaning they can produce significant sound levels with less power. Avoid excessive volume levels that cause distortion, as this can damage the speakers.
4.1 Dolby Atmos Integration (if applicable)
If your RP-8000F speakers include built-in up-firing speakers for Dolby Atmos, ensure your receiver supports Dolby Atmos and is configured correctly. These speakers are designed to reflect sound off the ceiling to create an immersive overhead effect.
5. Maintenance
5.1 Cleaning
To clean the speaker cabinets, use a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these can damage the finish. The spun copper Cerametallic woofers and titanium tweeters should be handled with care; avoid touching them directly.
5.2 Grille Care
The magnetic grilles can be easily removed for cleaning or for a different aesthetic. To clean the grilles, gently brush them with a soft cloth or a vacuum cleaner with a brush attachment. Ensure they are free of dust and debris before reattaching.

6. Troubleshooting
- No Sound: Check all speaker wire connections at both the speaker and amplifier/receiver. Ensure the amplifier/receiver is powered on and the correct input source is selected. Verify that the volume is not muted or set too low.
- Distorted Sound: Reduce the volume level. Check speaker wire connections for any loose strands or short circuits. Ensure your amplifier/receiver is not overdriven.
- Uneven Sound: Check speaker placement and ensure they are equidistant from the listening position. Verify that the balance settings on your amplifier/receiver are centered.
If issues persist, consult your amplifier/receiver's instruction manual or contact Klipsch customer support.
