Setup

Battery Installation

The Lavatools KT3 timer requires one CR2032 battery (included). To install or replace the battery:

Locate the circular battery compartment on the back of the timer.
Use a coin to turn the battery cover counter-clockwise to unlock and remove it.
Insert the CR2032 battery with the positive (+) side facing up.
Replace the battery cover and turn it clockwise with a coin to secure it.

Placement Options

The KT3 timer offers multiple ways to position it:

Magnetic Attachment: The back of the timer features strong magnets, allowing it to be securely attached to metal surfaces like refrigerators or ovens.
Kickstand: A built-in kickstand allows the timer to stand upright on flat surfaces such as countertops or desks.
Hang Hole: A small hole at the top of the timer enables it to be hung on a hook or nail.

Operating Instructions

Setting the Countdown Timer

Ensure the timer display shows 00:00. If not, press the RESET button.
Press the time increment buttons (10M, 5M, 1M, 10s) to set the desired time. These buttons are additive. For example, pressing 10M twice and 1M once will set the timer to 21 minutes.
Press the START/STOP button to begin the countdown.

Pausing and Resuming

While the timer is counting down, press START/STOP to pause it. Press START/STOP again to resume the countdown.

Resetting the Timer

To clear the current time setting or stop an active timer and return to 00:00, press the RESET button.

Mute Function

The timer features a mute switch on the side. Slide the switch to the speaker icon for audible alerts or to the crossed-out speaker icon to mute the alarm. When muted, a light indicator will flash when the timer reaches zero.

Stopwatch Function (Count-Up)

To use the stopwatch function:

Ensure the display shows 00:00. If not, press RESET.
Press the START/STOP button. The timer will begin counting upwards from 00:00.
Press START/STOP again to pause the count. Press RESET to clear the stopwatch.
