1. Important Safety Instructions
Please read all instructions carefully before operating the Mophorn Water Distiller. Failure to follow these safety guidelines may result in electric shock, fire, or serious injury.
- Always connect the distiller to a grounded electrical outlet.
- Do not immerse the main unit, power cord, or plug in water or other liquids.
- Keep the appliance away from children and pets.
- Do not operate the distiller if the power cord or plug is damaged.
- Ensure proper ventilation around the unit during operation. Do not block air vents.
- The distiller produces hot steam and water. Exercise extreme caution to avoid burns.
- Allow the unit to cool completely before cleaning or storing.
- Do not attempt to repair or modify the appliance yourself. Contact qualified service personnel.
2. Product Overview
The Mophorn 750W 4L Water Distiller is designed to produce pure distilled water for various household and laboratory uses. It features a durable stainless steel interior and a borosilicate glass collection jug.

Figure 2.1: Mophorn Water Distiller in use, showing the main unit and collection jug.
Components:
- Main Distiller Unit: Contains the heating element, boiling chamber, and cooling fan.
- Top Cover: Houses the condensing coil and cooling fan.
- Borosilicate Glass Collection Jug: For collecting distilled water.
- Power Cord: For connecting the unit to an electrical outlet.
- Cleaning Powder (Citric Acid): For descaling the boiling chamber.
- Activated Carbon Filters: For post-distillation filtration.

Figure 2.2: Internal structure and materials. The inner tank, inner cap, condensing coil, water outlet, and water inlet are made of 304 stainless steel. The collection jug is made of borosilicate glass.
3. Setup
3.1 Unpacking and Initial Cleaning
- Carefully remove all components from the packaging.
- Wash the collection jug and its lid with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly.
- For the main unit, wipe the exterior with a damp cloth.
- Perform an initial test run with water only to clean any manufacturing residues. Fill the boiling chamber with water, run a full cycle, and discard the distilled water. Repeat this process 2-3 times.
3.2 Assembling the Collection Jug Handle
The glass collection jug handle may require assembly. Use a Phillips screwdriver and small pliers to attach the handle to the jug using the provided steel bands. Ensure the bands are securely fastened around the jug.
3.3 Placement
Place the distiller on a stable, flat, heat-resistant surface. Ensure there is adequate space around the unit for ventilation, especially around the cooling fan vents. Position the collection jug directly under the distiller's water outlet spout.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Filling the Distiller
Open the main unit and fill the stainless steel boiling chamber with tap water. Do not exceed the maximum fill line (approximately 4 liters). Ensure the water level is below the air outlet.
4.2 Securing the Top Cover and Collection Jug
- Place the top cover securely onto the main unit.
- Ensure the collection jug is positioned correctly under the water outlet spout.
- If using, place an activated carbon filter inside the spout of the collection jug for additional filtration.
4.3 Connecting Power and Setting Temperature

Figure 4.1: Intelligent Control Panel with temperature display and adjustment buttons.
- Plug the power cord into the distiller's socket and then into a grounded electrical outlet.
- The digital display on the control panel will illuminate.
- Use the temperature adjuster buttons (usually '+' and '-') to set the desired distillation temperature. For water distillation, a common setting is around 100°C (212°F). The unit features an automatic shut-off when the set temperature is reached or when the water level is too low.
- Press the On/Off switch to start the distillation process.
4.4 Distillation Process
The heating element will begin to boil the water, producing steam. The steam rises into the top cover, where it passes through a condensing coil cooled by the fan. The condensed water (distillate) then drips into the collection jug. The distillation rate is approximately 1 liter per hour.

Figure 4.2: The distiller operates at a rate of approximately 1 liter per hour, with a 4-liter capacity.
4.5 Automatic Shut-off
The distiller is equipped with an automatic shut-off feature. It will power off when the water in the boiling chamber reaches a critically low level or when the set temperature is maintained for a prolonged period, preventing dry burning and ensuring safety.
5. Maintenance and Cleaning
Regular cleaning is essential to maintain the efficiency and longevity of your water distiller.
5.1 Cleaning the Boiling Chamber
After each distillation cycle, mineral deposits (limescale) will accumulate in the boiling chamber. To clean:
- Unplug the unit and allow it to cool completely.
- Pour out any remaining water.
- Add approximately 1 tablespoon of citric acid cleaning powder (included) to the boiling chamber. Alternatively, use white vinegar or lemon juice.
- Fill the chamber with enough water to cover the mineral deposits.
- Allow it to soak for 30 minutes to several hours, or overnight for heavy buildup.
- For stubborn deposits, you may briefly heat the solution (do not run a full distillation cycle with cleaning solution).
- Scrub the interior with a non-abrasive brush or sponge.
- Rinse the chamber thoroughly with clean water multiple times until all cleaning solution and residue are removed.
5.2 Replacing Carbon Filters
Activated carbon filters should be replaced regularly, typically after 20-30 liters of distilled water, or as needed, to ensure optimal water quality.
5.3 Exterior Cleaning
Wipe the exterior of the distiller with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the unit in water.
6. Troubleshooting
- Distiller does not turn on:
- Check if the power cord is securely plugged into both the distiller and a working electrical outlet.
- Ensure the On/Off switch is pressed.
- No water is being distilled:
- Verify that the boiling chamber contains water and is above the minimum level.
- Check if the top cover is properly seated.
- Ensure the set temperature is appropriate for boiling water (e.g., 100°C).
- Confirm the cooling fan is operating.
- Distilled water has an unusual taste or odor:
- Ensure the initial cleaning/test runs were performed.
- Replace the activated carbon filter.
- Clean the boiling chamber thoroughly to remove any mineral buildup.
- Unit shuts off prematurely:
- This is likely the automatic shut-off feature. Check the water level in the boiling chamber.
- Ensure the temperature sensor is clean and free of scale.
