Operating Instructions

  1. Preheat: Plug the appliance into a 120V AC outlet. Flip the power switch to the 'ON' position. The indicator light will illuminate, signaling that the unit is heating. Allow the maker to preheat for approximately 3-5 minutes.
  2. Prepare Molds: Lightly brush each takoyaki mold with cooking oil. This helps prevent sticking and ensures a crispy exterior.
  3. Pour Batter: Pour your takoyaki batter into each mold, filling it almost to the brim.
  4. Add Fillings: Immediately add your desired fillings, such as diced octopus, green onions, ginger, and tempura scraps, into each mold.
  5. Initial Cooking: Allow the batter to cook for a few minutes until the edges begin to set and the bottom is lightly browned.
  6. Flip Takoyaki: Using the provided takoyaki picks (or wooden/bamboo skewers to protect the non-stick surface), carefully turn each takoyaki ball halfway. The uncooked batter will flow into the empty space, forming a round shape.
  7. Continue Cooking: Continue to turn the takoyaki periodically until they are golden brown and fully cooked through. This usually takes about 5-10 minutes, depending on your desired crispiness.
  8. Serve: Once cooked, remove the takoyaki from the molds and serve immediately with your favorite toppings like takoyaki sauce, mayonnaise, bonito flakes, and nori.
  9. Turn Off: After use, flip the power switch to the 'OFF' position and unplug the appliance.
