Operating the Keyboard

The Brydge 12.9 keyboard features a standard QWERTY layout with additional function keys along the top row. These keys provide quick access to various iPad functions, including:
- Home button (to return to the main screen)
- Screen lock
- Keyboard backlighting brightness adjustment
- Media playback controls (play/pause, skip tracks)

Maintenance
Cleaning
To clean your Brydge keyboard, use a soft, lint-free cloth. For stubborn marks, slightly dampen the cloth with water or a mild, non-abrasive cleaner. Avoid excessive moisture and harsh chemicals. Ensure the keyboard is powered off before cleaning.
Storage
When not in use, store the keyboard in a cool, dry place. If storing for an extended period, ensure the battery is partially charged (around 50%) to prolong its lifespan.
Troubleshooting
Keyboard Not Connecting/Pairing
- Ensure the keyboard is powered on and fully charged.
- Verify Bluetooth is enabled on your iPad.
- Forget the device in your iPad's Bluetooth settings and attempt to re-pair.
- Restart both your iPad and the Brydge keyboard.
- Ensure no other Bluetooth devices are interfering with the connection.
Backlight Not Working
- Check the keyboard's battery level; low battery can disable backlighting.
- Use the backlight brightness keys to ensure it's not set to the lowest level or off.
Hinges Feel Too Tight
While the hinges are designed for a secure fit, some users have reported excessive tightness. If the hinges feel too tight and cause concern for your iPad's screen, it may be possible to carefully file down the rubber connection points slightly to reduce pressure. Exercise caution if attempting this modification.
