5.2. Offline Clone Function
The docking station features a standalone clone function, allowing you to duplicate hard drives without connecting to a computer. This is ideal for creating backups or migrating data.
- Prepare Drives: Insert the Source drive into the "Source" bay (HDD1). Insert one or more Target drives into the "Target" bays (HDD2, HDD3, HDD4). Ensure the target drives have equal or greater capacity than the source drive.
- Disconnect from PC: Ensure the USB cable is disconnected from your computer. The cloning process is performed offline.
- Switch to Clone Mode: On the back of the docking station, set the "Clone/PC" switch to the "Clone" position.
- Start Cloning: Press and hold the "Start" button on the back of the docking station for approximately 3-5 seconds until the cloning process begins. The LED indicators will show the cloning progress (25%, 50%, 75%, 100%).
- Completion: Once all LEDs are solid, the cloning process is complete. You can then power off the device and remove the drives.
