1. Introduction

This manual provides comprehensive instructions for the safe and effective use of your Farpoint LED and COB Tactical Versa Beam Flashlight. This flashlight is designed for versatility, offering both a focused LED beam and a wide-area COB lantern, suitable for various indoor and outdoor lighting requirements.

2.1 Key Features

3. Setup

3.1 Battery Installation

The flashlight requires 3 AAA batteries (not included).

  1. Unscrew the tail cap of the flashlight counter-clockwise to access the battery compartment.
  2. Insert 3 AAA batteries according to the polarity indicators (+/-) located inside the compartment. Ensure correct orientation to prevent damage to the device.
  3. Screw the tail cap back on clockwise until it is securely tightened. Do not overtighten.

Note: Always use fresh batteries of the same type and brand. Remove batteries if the flashlight will not be used for an extended period to prevent leakage.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Power On/Off and Mode Selection (LED Beam)

The primary LED beam offers High, Medium, Low, Strobe, and SOS modes.

  1. Press the power button once to turn on the flashlight in High mode.
  2. Press the power button repeatedly to cycle through the LED modes in the following order: High → Medium → Low → Strobe → SOS.
  3. To turn off the flashlight, press the power button after cycling through all LED modes, or hold the button down for approximately 2 seconds in any LED mode.

4.2 Zoom Function (LED Beam)

The LED beam features an adjustable zoom function:

  • To widen the beam (floodlight), pull the head of the flashlight backward.
  • To narrow the beam (spotlight), push the head of the flashlight forward.

4.3 COB Lantern Operation

The COB lantern provides a wide area illumination.

  1. To activate the COB lantern, slide the flashlight body all the way out until the COB light panel is fully revealed.
  2. Once the COB light is revealed, press the power button to turn it on. The COB light has a single illumination mode.
  3. To turn off the COB light, press the power button again.
  4. To return to LED flashlight mode, push the flashlight body back in until the COB light is concealed. The flashlight will then operate as a standard LED flashlight.

4.4 Magnetic Base Use

The magnetic base allows for hands-free lighting:

  • Attach the magnetic base to any suitable metal surface.
  • Adjust the angle of the flashlight or lantern as needed to direct the light.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning

  • Wipe the flashlight body with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Keep the lens clean for optimal light output. Use a lens cleaning cloth if necessary.

5.2 Storage

  • Store the flashlight in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
  • Remove batteries if storing for extended periods to prevent corrosion.

6. Troubleshooting

  • Flashlight does not turn on:
    • Check if batteries are inserted correctly with the correct polarity.
    • Replace old or depleted batteries with new ones.
    • Ensure the tail cap is fully tightened.
  • Dim light output:
    • Batteries may be low; replace them.
    • Clean the lens if it is dirty.
  • COB lantern does not activate:
    • Ensure the flashlight body is fully extended to reveal the COB panel.
    • Check battery status.
