Operating Instructions
Follow these steps to safely and effectively boil water with your VAVA Electric Kettle.
- Fill the Kettle: Open the lid and fill the kettle with the desired amount of fresh, cold water. Do not fill below the "MIN" mark or above the "MAX" mark indicated on the water level indicator. Overfilling may cause boiling water to spill out.
- Close the Lid: Ensure the lid is securely closed before placing the kettle on the power base.
- Place on Power Base: Position the kettle firmly onto the power base.
- Start Boiling: Press the power switch down. The indicator light will illuminate, signifying that the kettle is heating.
- Automatic Shut-off: The kettle will automatically turn off once the water has boiled, and the indicator light will extinguish.
- Pouring: Carefully lift the kettle from the power base and pour the hot water. Be cautious of steam escaping from the spout and lid.
- Re-boiling: If you need to re-boil water immediately, wait a few seconds for the internal thermostat to reset before pressing the power switch again.
Cleaning and Maintenance
Regular cleaning and maintenance will prolong the life of your VAVA Electric Kettle.
- Before Cleaning: Always unplug the kettle from the power outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
- Exterior Cleaning: Wipe the exterior of the kettle with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads, as they may scratch the stainless steel finish.
- Interior Cleaning (Descaling): Over time, mineral deposits (limescale) may build up inside the kettle, especially in hard water areas.
- Fill the kettle with 1 part white vinegar and 2 parts water.
- Bring the mixture to a boil and let it stand for at least 30 minutes, or longer for heavy scale.
- Discard the solution and rinse the kettle thoroughly with fresh water several times.
- For stubborn deposits, repeat the process or use a commercial descaling solution designed for kettles, following the product's instructions.
- Filter Cleaning: If your kettle has a removable filter, gently remove it and rinse under running water. Reinsert it securely after cleaning.
- Storage: When not in use, store the kettle on its power base in a dry place. You can wrap the excess cord around the cord storage area under the base.
