Carefully remove all packaging materials. Inspect the unit for any shipping damage. Report any damage immediately to your carrier and supplier. Retain all packaging materials for inspection.

3.2 Placement

  • Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit. Maintain at least 4 inches (10 cm) of clearance from walls or other obstructions, especially at the back where the unit vents.

4.1 Powering On/Off

Once plugged in, the unit will power on. Use the main power switch, typically located near the digital controller, to turn the unit on or off.

The unit features internal LED lighting strips under each shelf and at the top. The MB36 is equipped with an automatic defrost system. This system periodically melts away frost buildup on the evaporator coil, ensuring efficient operation. During defrost cycles, the internal temperature may temporarily rise slightly, which is normal. No manual intervention is typically required for defrosting.

5. Maintenance

Regular cleaning and maintenance will ensure optimal performance and longevity of your display case.

5.1 Cleaning the Interior and Exterior

  • Always unplug the unit before cleaning.
  • Clean the stainless steel exterior with a soft cloth and a mild, non-abrasive cleaner. Wipe in the direction of the grain to prevent scratching.
  • Clean the curved glass surfaces with a glass cleaner and a soft, lint-free cloth.
  • Remove shelves and clean them separately with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry before returning them to the unit.
  • Wipe down the interior surfaces with a damp cloth and a mild, food-safe cleaning solution. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive pads.

5.2 Condenser Coil Cleaning

The condenser coil, located at the back of the unit, should be cleaned regularly (e.g., monthly) to maintain cooling efficiency. Dust and debris can accumulate, reducing performance and increasing energy consumption.

  • Unplug the unit.
  • Carefully access the condenser coil area (usually behind a removable panel at the back).
  • Use a stiff brush or vacuum cleaner with a brush attachment to remove dust and lint from the coil fins.
  • Ensure all debris is removed before reattaching any panels and plugging the unit back in.
