2. Safety Information
To prevent injury to users or damage to the unit, please observe the following safety precautions:
- Electrical Safety: Ensure the unit is connected to a grounded power outlet with the correct voltage as specified on the rating label. Do not use extension cords or adapter plugs. Disconnect power before cleaning or servicing.
- Placement: Place the unit on a level, stable surface capable of supporting its weight. Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit; do not block air vents. Maintain a minimum clearance of 4 inches (10 cm) from walls or other obstructions for proper airflow.
- Handling: Use caution when moving the unit. Casters are pre-installed for mobility, but ensure the unit is stable once positioned.
- Cleaning: Always unplug the unit before cleaning. Use mild, non-abrasive cleaners. Do not spray water directly onto electrical components.
- Maintenance: Only qualified personnel should perform repairs or complex maintenance.
- Children: Keep children away from the unit, especially during operation and maintenance.
3. Setup
3.1 Unpacking
- Carefully remove all packaging materials, including tape and protective films.
- Inspect the unit for any shipping damage. Report any damage to your supplier immediately.
- Retain packaging materials for potential future transport or warranty claims.
3.2 Placement
- Position the display case on a firm, level surface. Use a spirit level to ensure it is perfectly level to allow for proper drainage and operation.
- Ensure the unit is placed in an area with good air circulation. Avoid direct sunlight, heat sources, or areas with high humidity.
- Maintain at least 4 inches (10 cm) of clearance around the back and sides of the unit for proper ventilation. The unit vents out the back.
3.3 Initial Cleaning
Before first use, clean the interior and exterior surfaces with a mild detergent and warm water. Rinse thoroughly and dry with a soft cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
3.4 Power Connection
Plug the unit into a dedicated, grounded electrical outlet. Allow the unit to stand for at least 2 hours before plugging it in if it has been tilted during transport, to allow compressor oils to settle.
3.5 Shelf Installation
The unit comes with adjustable shelving. Position the shelves at desired heights by inserting the shelf brackets into the vertical supports. Ensure shelves are securely seated before placing items on them.

4.3 LED Lighting
The unit is equipped with internal LED lighting strips under each shelf and at the top. These lights typically operate independently or via a dedicated switch on the control panel. Consult the specific control panel layout for your unit to activate/deactivate the lighting.
4.4 Loading the Display Case
- Allow the unit to reach the desired operating temperature before loading products.
- Do not overload shelves, as this can obstruct airflow and reduce cooling efficiency.
- Ensure products do not block the internal air vents.
5. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your display case.
5.1 Cleaning the Interior
- Frequency: Weekly or as needed.
- Procedure: Disconnect power. Remove all products and shelves. Wash interior surfaces with a mild detergent and warm water. Rinse with clean water and dry thoroughly.
5.2 Cleaning the Exterior
- Frequency: Weekly or as needed.
- Procedure: Wipe down the stainless steel and glass surfaces with a soft cloth and a non-abrasive cleaner. For glass, use a glass cleaner.
5.3 Condenser Coil Cleaning
- Frequency: Every 1-3 months, depending on environment.
- Procedure: Disconnect power. Locate the condenser coils (typically at the back or bottom of the unit). Use a stiff brush or vacuum cleaner to remove dust and debris from the coils. Clean coils improve efficiency and prevent compressor strain.
5.4 Automatic Defrost
The MB48 features an automatic defrost system. This system periodically melts accumulated frost from the evaporator coil. Water from defrosting is evaporated automatically, so no drain connection is required. Ensure the defrost drain pan is clear of obstructions.
5.5 Gasket Inspection
Regularly inspect door gaskets for cracks or tears. Damaged gaskets can lead to air leaks, reducing efficiency. Replace damaged gaskets promptly.
