2. Power Connection

Connect the power cord to the machine and then to a power outlet. Press the power button to turn on the machine.

Open the machine's front cover. Insert the Auto Blade into the blade holder carriage until it clicks into place. Close the carriage lever securely.

4. Loading the Mat

Peel off the protective sheet from the adhesive mat. Place your desired material (e.g., vinyl, cardstock, felt) onto the adhesive surface of the mat, ensuring it is smooth and free of wrinkles. Operating Instructions

1. On-Screen Design and Editing

The 5-inch LCD touchscreen allows for direct design creation and editing. Navigate through the 'Pattern' menu to select built-in designs, shapes, or fonts. You can input text, choose different fonts, and combine elements. Use the 'Edit' function to resize, rotate, or mirror designs as needed. For heat transfer vinyl (HTV), remember to mirror your design before cutting.

2. Cutting Process

After finalizing your design, select 'Cut' from the menu. The Auto Blade will automatically detect the material thickness and adjust the cutting pressure. For certain materials like HTV, ensure 'Half Cut' is enabled if you only want to cut through the vinyl layer and not the backing. Press 'Start' to begin cutting. The machine will display a countdown for the estimated cutting time.

3. Scanning and Direct Cutting

The built-in 600 DPI scanner allows you to scan images or drawings directly into the machine. Place your printed material on the mat and load it into the machine. Select the 'Scan' option, and the machine will scan the image. You can then select areas to cut, and the machine will create precise outlines for cutting, even for intricate designs.

4. Rhinestone Application (with optional kit)

If using the optional Rhinestone Kit, the machine can cut templates from felt material. After cutting, brush rhinestones into the cut holes on the template. Use transfer tape to pick up the rhinestones and then apply them to your desired fabric item using a heat press or iron.

5. Heat Transfer Vinyl (HTV) Application

Design your text or image on the machine's touchscreen. Remember to mirror the design for HTV. Place the HTV onto the adhesive mat with the shiny carrier sheet facing down. Load the mat and select 'Cut'. After cutting, weed away the excess vinyl. Position the design on your garment, cover with a protective sheet, and apply heat using a heat press or iron according to the HTV manufacturer's instructions. Peel off the carrier sheet once cooled (or hot peel, depending on vinyl type).

Maintenance

To ensure optimal performance, regularly clean your cutting mat to maintain its stickiness. Use a spatula or weeding tool to remove small pieces of material. If the mat loses its tack, it may need to be cleaned with warm water and mild soap, or replaced. Inspect the Auto Blade for any debris or damage and replace it if necessary. Keep the machine free from dust and store it in a clean, dry environment.

Troubleshooting

If the machine is not cutting correctly, perform a trial cut on a small piece of your material to verify blade depth and pressure settings. Ensure the material is properly adhered to the mat and that the mat is loaded correctly. If an error message appears on the LCD screen, consult the on-screen help or the full user manual for specific instructions. For connectivity issues, ensure the machine is properly connected to your wireless network.
