4.2. Button Functions (Back of Unit)
The back of the base station features several buttons for configuration:
- WEATHER: Adjusts the current weather forecast if needed.
- °C/°F: Toggles temperature readings between Celsius and Fahrenheit.
- inHg/mb: Changes the units of measurement for barometric pressure.
- HISTORY: Toggles through the historical barometric pressure data.
- MAX/MIN: Toggles through the maximum and minimum recorded temperature and humidity readings for both indoor and outdoor.
- CHANNEL: Cycles through channels 1, 2, and 3, allowing you to monitor multiple remote sensors (additional sensors sold separately).
5. Placement and Usage Tips
For optimal performance, consider the following placement guidelines:
- Base Station: Can be placed on a tabletop using its integrated stand or mounted on a wall using the wall-mount slot.
- Remote Sensor: The remote sensor is cold-resistant down to -31°F (-35°C) and waterproof, making it suitable for outdoor use in various weather conditions including heavy rain and snow. It can be mounted on a wall or fence using its wall-mount slot. Ensure it is placed in a shaded area to avoid direct sunlight, which can affect temperature accuracy.
- Wireless Range: The sensor has a transmission distance of up to 200 feet (60 meters) in an open area. Walls, metal objects, and electronic devices can reduce the effective range.
- Multiple Sensors: The weather station can display readings from up to 3 remote sensors. (Product includes 1 sensor; additional sensors can be ordered by searching B0BHQSR2RK).

6. Maintenance
- Clean the unit and sensor with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Ensure the remote sensor's charging port cover is securely closed to maintain its waterproof rating.
- Replace base station batteries when the low battery indicator appears on the display.
- Keep the remote sensor charged to ensure continuous operation.
7. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| No outdoor reading or flashing dashes on display. | Remote sensor out of range, low battery, or interference. | Move sensor closer to base unit. Check and charge sensor battery. Avoid placing near large metal objects or electronics. Resync devices. |
| Inaccurate outdoor temperature. | Sensor in direct sunlight or near a heat source. | Relocate sensor to a shaded area with good air circulation. |
| Weather forecast is incorrect. | Initial setup period or local microclimates. | Allow 7-10 days for barometer calibration. Manually adjust forecast using the 'WEATHER' button if consistently inaccurate. |
| Display is dim or blank. | Low batteries in base station. | Replace AAA batteries in the base station. |
