5. Setup

5.1 Battery Installation

The safe requires 4 AA batteries (not included) to power the electronic lock. To install:

  1. Open the safe door using one of the backup keys (refer to Section 6.1).
  2. Locate the battery compartment on the inside of the safe door.
  3. Insert 4 new AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
  4. Close the battery compartment cover.
  5. Test the keypad or fingerprint scanner to ensure power is supplied.

5.2 Mounting the Safe

This safe is designed for freestanding or tabletop placement and can be secured using the included mounting hardware.

  1. Choose a suitable location for the safe, ensuring it is level and stable.
  2. If mounting to a wall or floor, mark the desired drilling points through the pre-drilled holes inside the safe.
  3. Drill pilot holes into the wall or floor using an appropriate drill bit.
  4. Align the safe with the drilled holes and secure it using the provided bolts. Tighten all bolts firmly.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Initial Access (Using Backup Key)

To open the safe for the first time or in case of battery failure:

  1. Locate the keyhole cover on the lock mechanism.
  2. Remove the cover to expose the keyhole.
  3. Insert one of the backup keys and turn it clockwise.
  4. While holding the key turned, rotate the handle (if applicable) or pull the door open.

6.2 Programming Fingerprints

The safe can store up to 30 unique fingerprints.

  1. With the safe door open, press the internal programming button (usually red or green, located near the battery compartment).
  2. The scanner will illuminate, indicating it is ready for programming.
  3. Place your finger firmly on the scanner. Lift and repeat this action several times (typically 3-5 times) until a confirmation sound or light signal is received.
  4. Repeat for additional fingers or users.

6.3 Programming Keypad PIN

The safe allows for one programmable PIN code.

  1. With the safe door open, press the internal programming button.
  2. Enter your desired PIN code (4-8 digits) on the keypad.
  3. Press the '#' or 'ENTER' button to confirm.
  4. Re-enter the PIN code and press '#' or 'ENTER' again for verification. A confirmation sound or light signal will indicate successful programming.

6.4 Opening the Safe

You can open the safe using a registered fingerprint, the programmed PIN, or a backup key.

  • Using Fingerprint: Place a registered finger firmly on the biometric scanner. If recognized, the safe will unlock.
  • Using Keypad: Enter your programmed PIN code on the keypad, then press '#' or 'ENTER'. If correct, the safe will unlock.
  • Using Backup Key: Refer to Section 6.1.

6.5 Programmable Sound Option

The safe offers a programmable sound option to eliminate default alerts when opening. Refer to your specific model's detailed instructions for enabling or disabling this feature, typically involving a combination of keypad presses or a dedicated button.

7. Maintenance

7.1 Battery Replacement
