1. Introduction
This manual provides detailed instructions for the proper installation, operation, and maintenance of the XMHF AR2000 Pneumatic Source Treatment Air Filter Pressure Regulator. This device is designed to regulate the pressure of compressed air, ensuring a clean and stable air supply for various pneumatic applications. Please read this manual thoroughly before using the product to ensure safe and efficient operation.
2. Safety Information
Always observe the following safety precautions to prevent injury and damage to the equipment:
- Ensure the air supply is completely shut off and depressurized before installation, maintenance, or disassembly.
- Do not exceed the maximum operating pressure specified in the product specifications.
- Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses when working with compressed air systems.
- Install the regulator in a clean, dry environment, away from direct sunlight, excessive heat, or corrosive substances.
- Verify all connections are secure and leak-free before pressurizing the system.
- Do not modify the regulator. Use only genuine replacement parts if necessary.
3. Product Overview
The XMHF AR2000 is a compact and efficient pneumatic air filter pressure regulator. It combines the functions of air filtration and pressure regulation into a single unit.

3.1 Components
- Pressure Adjustment Knob: Used to set the desired output pressure.
- Pressure Gauge Port: Connection point for a pressure gauge (not included) to monitor output pressure.
- Inlet Port: Connects to the compressed air source.
- Outlet Port: Connects to the pneumatic device requiring regulated air.
- Drain Valve: For manual draining of accumulated moisture from the filter bowl.
4. Setup and Installation
Follow these steps for proper installation of the AR2000 regulator:
- Preparation: Ensure the air supply is off and depressurized. Clear the installation area of any debris.
- Mounting: The regulator can be mounted using appropriate brackets (not included) or directly in-line with the air system. Ensure it is installed vertically with the drain valve at the bottom for effective moisture removal.
- Connections:
- Connect the compressed air source to the Inlet Port (typically marked with an arrow indicating flow direction). The joint pipe bore diameter is 11mm (1/4BSP).
- Connect your pneumatic tool or system to the Outlet Port.
- If using a pressure gauge, connect it to the Pressure Gauge Connector Diameter (8.5mm/0.33").
- Sealing: Use thread sealant tape (PTFE tape) on all threaded connections to ensure an airtight seal.
- Leak Check: Once all connections are made, slowly turn on the air supply and check for any leaks using a soapy water solution. Tighten connections as needed.
5. Operating Instructions
To operate the XMHF AR2000 regulator:
- Initial Pressure Setting: With the air supply on, turn the pressure adjustment knob clockwise to increase the output pressure and counter-clockwise to decrease it. Adjust until the desired pressure is indicated on the connected pressure gauge. The adjustable pressure range is 0.5-9Kgf/cm2 (0.05-1.0MPa).
- Monitoring: Regularly monitor the pressure gauge to ensure the output pressure remains stable.
- Drainage: Periodically check the filter bowl for accumulated moisture. Drain by opening the manual drain valve at the bottom of the unit.
6. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your regulator:
- Filter Element: The filter element should be inspected regularly (e.g., monthly) and replaced if it appears clogged or discolored. Refer to the manufacturer's guidelines for replacement intervals.
- Drainage: Drain accumulated moisture from the filter bowl daily or as needed, depending on the humidity and air usage.
- Cleaning: Clean the exterior of the regulator with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or solvents.
- Seals and O-rings: Inspect seals and O-rings for wear or damage during filter element replacement. Replace if necessary to prevent leaks.
