2. Safety Information
WARNING: Failure to follow these safety instructions may result in fire, explosion, serious injury, or death.
- Ventilation: Always use this heater in a well-ventilated area to prevent oxygen depletion and carbon monoxide poisoning. Do not use in enclosed spaces.
- Fuel: Use only LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas) as specified. Ensure the gas cylinder is placed upright and secured.
- Leak Checks: Before each use, check all gas connections for leaks using a soapy water solution. Never use an open flame to check for leaks.
- Flammable Materials: Keep the heater at a safe distance from all flammable materials (e.g., paper, fabric, wood, chemicals). Maintain a minimum clearance of 1 meter (3 feet) from the front and sides.
- Children and Pets: Keep children and pets away from the heater during operation and while it is cooling down.
- Supervision: Never leave the heater unattended while it is operating.
- Power Supply: Ensure the electrical supply matches the specifications on the heater's rating label. Do not use damaged power cords.
- Handling: Do not move the heater while it is operating or hot. Allow it to cool completely before handling or storing.
- Modifications: Do not modify the heater or its components. Use only original replacement parts.

4. Setup
Follow these steps to set up your Geko G80410 gas heater:
- Placement: Position the heater on a stable, level, non-combustible surface in a well-ventilated area. Ensure adequate clearance from walls and flammable materials as per safety guidelines.
- Connect Gas Hose:
- Connect one end of the gas hose (with the pressure reducer) to your LPG cylinder. Ensure a tight, secure connection.
- Connect the other end of the gas hose to the gas inlet on the heater. Tighten securely.
- Leak Test: After connecting the gas hose, perform a leak test. Apply a soapy water solution to all gas connections. If bubbles appear, there is a leak. Tighten connections or replace faulty parts. Do not proceed until all leaks are resolved.
- Connect Power: Plug the power cable into a suitable grounded electrical outlet.

5. Operating Instructions
Before operating, ensure all safety precautions and setup steps have been followed.
- Open Gas Supply: Slowly open the valve on the LPG cylinder.
- Power On: Flip the main power switch (often labeled 'I/O' or 'ON/OFF') on the control panel to the 'ON' position. The fan should start running.
- Open Gas Valve on Heater: Press and hold the red 'Gas Valve' button on the control panel.
- Ignite: While holding the 'Gas Valve' button, press the 'Ignition' button repeatedly until the flame ignites. You should hear a clicking sound and see the flame through the front grill.
- Release Gas Valve: Once the flame is stable, continue to hold the 'Gas Valve' button for approximately 10-15 seconds to allow the thermocouple to heat up, then slowly release it. The heater should continue to operate. If the flame extinguishes, repeat steps 3-5.
- Shut Down: To turn off the heater, first close the valve on the LPG cylinder. Allow the heater to run until the flame extinguishes (this clears any remaining gas from the hose). Then, turn off the main power switch on the heater.

6. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and safe operation of your heater.
- Cleaning: Ensure the heater is completely cool and disconnected from power and gas before cleaning. Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents. Keep the air intake and exhaust grills clear of dust and debris.
- Gas Hose and Connections: Periodically inspect the gas hose for cracks, cuts, or wear. Check all connections for tightness. Replace any damaged components immediately.
- Storage: When not in use, disconnect the gas cylinder and store the heater in a dry, dust-free location, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.

7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
- Heater does not ignite:
- Check if the LPG cylinder valve is open.
- Ensure the gas hose connections are secure and there are no leaks.
- Verify the main power switch is ON and the fan is running.
- Ensure the 'Gas Valve' button is pressed and held while attempting ignition.
- Check if the gas cylinder is empty.
- Flame extinguishes after releasing 'Gas Valve' button:
- Ensure you held the 'Gas Valve' button for 10-15 seconds after ignition to allow the thermocouple to heat up.
- The thermocouple might be dirty or faulty. Contact qualified service personnel.
- Low heat output:
- Check the gas supply and ensure the cylinder is not running low.
- Ensure the heater is not obstructed and has proper ventilation.
For problems not listed here or if troubleshooting steps do not resolve the issue, contact qualified service personnel or the manufacturer.
