2. Setup Guide

2.1 Unboxing and Components

Before setting up your Rexing H1 camera, ensure all components are present in the package.

2.2 Battery Installation

The Rexing H1 requires 8 AA batteries (not included) for operation. For optimal performance and battery life, use high-quality alkaline or rechargeable AA batteries.

  1. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the camera.
  2. Open the battery compartment cover.
  3. Insert 8 AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment.
  4. Close the battery compartment cover securely to maintain the camera's waterproof seal.

2.3 Micro SD Card Insertion

A Micro SD card (up to 32GB, not included) is required to store photos and videos. Ensure the card is formatted before first use.

  1. Open the camera's main casing latch on the side.
  2. Locate the Micro SD card slot, typically near the LCD screen.
  3. Insert the Micro SD card with the gold contacts facing down until it clicks into place.
  4. Close the main casing latch securely.

2.4 Mounting the Camera

The camera can be mounted using the included strap or the mounting bracket.

Using the Mounting Strap:

  1. Thread the provided strap through the slots on the back of the camera.
  2. Secure the camera to a tree or pole at the desired height and angle.
  3. Ensure the camera is stable and pointed towards the area you wish to monitor.

Using the Mounting Bracket (Optional):

  1. Attach the mounting bracket to a flat surface using screws.
  2. Secure the camera to the bracket.
  3. Adjust the camera's angle as needed.

3. Operation

3.1 Powering On and Initial Settings

  1. After installing batteries and the SD card, switch the camera to the "ON" position.
  2. The LCD screen will power on. Navigate through the menu using the control buttons.
  3. Set the date, time, and language as prompted or via the settings menu.
  4. It is recommended to format the Micro SD card through the camera's menu before first use to ensure compatibility and optimal performance.
